1. I just went for a drive and they do have some heat in them, I never checked how hot the halogens were so I dont have any frame of reference I reckon it will be ok, they wouldn't release them if they burnt holes in headlights now would they???
2. Yeah at 5000, just driving around I feel like a bit of a tool cause they are so friggin' bright haha Do anyone think it will have a bad effect that my car is ex-telstra and has day lights, eg always on?? Maybe I should go to an auto electrician and get "always on" taken out? But yes, they are so bright that you cannot see the parker, it hurt my eyes....
3. Yup thats it, but the one at the top is larger....you will see what i mean
4.
cool, i wore gloves but when i couldnt get the things in i took the glove off being annoyed and somehow touched the globe a lil lol ill clean them with metho! :)
Make sure that the large tab on the outside backing of the globes is at the top or else it wont fit....
5. AHHH IM BLIND!!!! All done!!!! Thanks for all the help Pat The install was fairly straight forward after Pats instructions to Dr Pat If I had to do it again would probley get it done in about 30min........ Heres the 5000k's, you actually cant appreciate how good it looks from the pictures guys Oh and Pat is is usual for the lights to "move", "shimmer", kinda like a projector focusing?? Or is that just the "bedding" in process???
6. Thanks heaps Pat, going to fit them now, hopefully I wont have any problems....... So what about the 5000k's?? Why arent they sending them out any longer?? I only ask because im going to be the only one with them...? Does anyone else think that maybe we should award Pat some kind of honorary doctorate in XR6 Turbo knowledge?? Dr. Pat xr6cd(car doctor) Any other letters we should put after his new honorary name??
7. Excellent result Pat, three questions though..... 1. Why has the supplier made the 5000's redundant?? 2. For those of out there that cant remove even the standard halogens could you tell us how?? 3. Adjusting the headlight is as easy as turning those "things" at the back of the headlight assembly right? Cheers Reuben
8. He's still installing them 72, he was fairly adamant that they were going to be fitted and working tonight...........might be along night....... Cant wait to see the results
9. I totally agree with Ms700, we are here to sort this out and thats what we are in the process of doing, im sure we will be able to figure this out guys, im not worried Installing them on a BF for me.....
10. So it is exactly the same kit..... I think we need the low beams only, you did prety well just getting the original globe out mate, i couldnt even do that, but i could tell that the hi/lo's that we have are never going to fit in to the falcons head light assembly. Oh well, hopefully time and Pat can sort this one out for us ha Pat?

Turbo's LOVE the cold (when up to running temp of course). I have a stock BF and boost comes on from just over 2000rpm (2100 upwards.....???)
12. Ill add my rattle too...mine sounds like you have a tin can hanging out your drivers side door, happens regardless of revs or any other variable. It always going over bumps/potholes etc at any speed, have taken it to fraud four times and each time they tell me they have fixed it and it was just the heat shields, the minute I get the car out of the workshop it starts again...... Sorry this has been no help, but thought it might help in eliminating causes...
13. Sorry to hijack, but I have to ask (it has probably been asked before, two minutes ago HAHA) But how/why is there an xr6T in Scotland????? Oh and to remain slightly on topic im with Senna and Erko, check out Rapids gear, good stuff and from what ive heard easy to install which is a bonus
14. Yeah im in the same boat, but ive got an auto electrician he has done heaps of jobs for me in the past, but I still think he wont be able to get these damn HID's in unless he has somekind of magic powers?? Oh and he is in Hobart, so it doesnt help you in the slightest haha........good luck

Yeah im thinking about fixing part of the mortgage, but not sue how low it will go? Australia is in a good position in that we follow global treads and not set them, so we can look at europe, america etc and kinda predict were things like interest rate are heading. Dirty32, its an awesome first time experience, massive commitment, but just look at it as an awesome savings plan, with (hopefully in the long term) some of the best returns on your cash you could ever hope to get. Oh and you dont have to pay friggin' rent and line somebody else pocket, good luck buddy
16. Some one good with HID lights im assuming????

Well done my bit for the financial crisis.... Have bought a house and rolled the loan for the T into the mortgage Im only paying $15 more a week on a mortgage than I was on my personal loan for the T, loving it!!! I had the shortest possible loan term, that's why the payments on the T were nearly as much as a morgage. Moving in on Thrusday, cant wait
18. Yeah just the low bulbs, im not really sure what to do haha Ill just wait and see if Pat has anymore luck with it than i did. Good luck
19. Mate im pretty sure you are right, just had a go fitting them and couldnt even get the original light out!! Im the worst Guinna pig ever!!! The clip is really hard to remove and like you said i think the entire headlight assembly will need to be removed (BA-BF too). In regards to the little bulb on the side i think it needs to be removed completely, i had a close look and the OEM bulb has a very small diameter backing/fitting and the hole in the back of the headlight assembly looks too small for the HID (large and small bulbs) to fit through. Im going to have to take mine to my auto- electrician soemtime and see what he says?? Hope we can figure this one out guys...... see the small diameter behind the bulb its self....... now the bulb on the HID is the same size as the OEM but has a (small bulb) attached to it, i just cant see it fitting with the small bulb still attached??
20. Yeah Dags, getting up early tomorrow to try it out, will post up the outcome
21. Here the pics of the kit guys, Sorry i havent tried installing them yet, as some of you know im a chef and have very scattered hours....plus with the moving house thing on Thursday its getting abit busy round here haha. And it does say on the side of the box H4 (Hi/lo) so not sure if it is actually Hi/Lo, but i guess we will findout soon enough... Got half a mind to try and install them now in the dark.......
22. Got mine today Pat.............. Can you hurry up and get yours so i dont have to be the first......???? Moving house and stuff so i wont get them in for a couple of days, will post some before and after pics...
