  1. Well guys, we can count Goldie out of the dyno day, just read on another thread that the poor bugger has blown the motor in the golden one. Not good news for him at all.

Today Tonight, current affair etc are tabloid shows and total crap. They sensationalise everything.
  3. Good job mate, that's a great set of instructions for anyone wanting to fit one of these themselves. that's what I love about this forum, a wealth of information that everybody is willing to share.

I think broadband is to slow, so Id hate to be on dial up loading that pic. Great shot though.
  5. look forward to meeting you at FIST, 81cjh. It will be a fun day.
  6. make sure you bring your cameras boys and girls, it will be great to see all of these fast T's and phoons in the one spot.

Maybe you can hynotise FPV and Ford execs not to void warranties on modded T's and Phoons, or better still get them to offer cash rewards for the best modded cars.

done my bit, its easy to know what all of us will be voting.
  9. Try Blackwoods, they can usually find the most obscure sized bolts. Cheers Jeff
  10. Dont under estimate the bangleseshians, they just came back from a sucessful tour of Kenya you know. If they are flogging us, then how bad does that make the Seth Efrikans, we gave them a flogging.
  11. Whats going on with all the brissy people. c'mon guys, get on board for a great day at FIST. Get your car dynoed, get piccy taken with the lovely FIST girls(that's worth the entry fee in itself), possibly win some good prizes, all for $55 smackers. Great day out.
  12. No problems 02, but you may win the one in the raffle at FIST yet. I designed these for the people that dont like the plastic or carbon fibre computer covers, but like the look of polished metal. Its just another option.
  13. Count me in, I will also donate a bottle of Turkey to be raffled. I will also donate a highly polished aluminum BA/BF computer cover with either XR or Boss logo embossed on it, see attachments, retail value $99, although the winner of this will have to wait approx 1 month as I am just tooling up to produce them now.

Pay special attention to detail, its the small things that make all the difference. ie Clean wheels and brakes to within an inch of there life etc and anywhere where a white gloved finger can find dust or grime. It's all about a long and thorough clean. Since its your first, have a good look at the other cars there and take some notes for future. If you dont win, dont worry to much, just have fun and learn from it and you will get better at every outing. Cheers Jeff
  15. I saw 3 T's blow these hoses off at a dyno day in Brisbane when Dynowog was up here. You need to change the clamps, the standard clamps they put on them are crap.
  16. I know exactly where you're coming from. Very frustrating indeed! I can tell you this though - FIST will bend over backwards to get it sorted for you. Oh, and if Vonny says it aint springs, then I'd go with whatever he thinks the problem is. You are right Sutty, the boys at FIST will bend over backwards to get things sorted, I would recommend them to anyone, not only because of the work they can do for you, but more particularly, for the after sales service and help they will give you, which is something that is a rarety these days.
  17. Rob, I had the full phase2 APS kit done, once sensor was fixed and re tuned, Im running 306rwkw. Alistair at FIST will be able to put you on to the Ford dealer you need to see, the Ford dealers have the best diagnostics equipment to find these faults. Took them no more than 10 minutes to find after hooking up. Jeff (Phoon)
  18. Robit, had my car done at FIST, had similar sounding problem to yours when first done, Vonny and the boys were there until 10pm at night and went through every possible thing to make sure it wasnt something they did. Ended up being a sensor problem, which Ford fixed. Once this was done, Vonny retuned and I couldnt be happier. By the way, even though the original problem wasnt a fault of FIST, Alistair did not charge me one extra cent for all the hours spent. They will sort it for you mate and although I know what the frustration feels like, once its sorted, Vonny will give you a nice tune that is safe. Dont worry mate, all will be good. Cheers Jeff (Phoon)

Ive had the exact same thing happen to me twice since Ive had the car, second time was yesterday. The only common denominator I have noticed on both occasions is that my fuel levels were below 1/4 of a tank. Dont know if this is just a coincedence or related to problem, but maybe some of the tuners here can shed some light on the subject. Cheers Jeff
  20. Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this debate. Certainly, the way we all get our licence is questionable, three lessons and if you look competant, you get a licence. Alcohol definately dulls response times in a car and each persons tolerance to how much affects them is different. Young people think they are bullet proof when they have been drinking, I know that's what I thought as a young bloke. Better roads? well they definately could do with improving, but where do the funds come from cause every govt. would have us believe there are not enough funds. Do we have a limit on the size of motor or power a young driver can have, that will never work or put a curfew on no. of young people per car and a curfew on times young people can drive. What about speed cameras, they are only useful to raise revenue for governments. I dont know the answers and neither do our governments as they have only one agenda and that is to be seen to be doing something so that they get re elected. Im sure that somewhere in the world there are low road tolls per capita of people and maybe a study of this world best practice to the road toll should be studied, trialled and adopted.
