Next year I will get a new ss for the misses and that will do me fine . People all over Australia have have send me e mails with there horror stories of car builds , I am not the only one .lot of them give up way before me . I am still fighting at the moment .400 rwkw is enough for me. It was certainly a eye opener this build how to get taken for a ride .

Ha ha ha barnz you crack me up lol .I have no problem with the powdercoating only concern was that the bottle does not hold presure , if it does not I will just get another plastic one . Na this time is the last build on this car .even 400 kw I will settle for now as I have lost interest in it to be fast .only want to be able to drive it and enjoy it for a while now that's all .

Did nothing to the ute today .just did not feel like it so we went down the beach for some time .was very windy lol

Yes that's what absolutely pissed me off .as I phoned him two times , and he said that his turbo was better then the gtx one I was about to buy . He ticked all the boxes with his remarks how good it was .afer I bought mine I seen them for sale second hand and was starting to wonder why .he still did not have the time to explain the problem that I might face with his turbo , there may not even be any but then why post that there is a problem with them from the guy that develops them .he tried to make me look like the idiot but it back fired on him in the end .I have taken every screen shot of his comments , just in case if he wants to take it further

It got posted on a forum he was in , and it got taken off about 2hrs later lol

Jamie knows what turbo it has on it .as I said he tuned one with 500 rwkw so I rather wait and see .what its like .its only a run in tune and to start the engine etc .I can then work out a plan with jamie what to do after And that recall sign ,someone has made that up its not acturaly from the government lol .but I thought it was awsome for someone to spend the time to do it

Maybe .I will have to find out more info from jamie but I do not want to bother him .he can sortbit out if it doesn't work well in the end .he is the tuner and I will leave it up to him

Think you did .lol another mistake as I said before . Jamie tuned one with 500 rwkw. But mine also has a internal flapper mod and not a gate ,which jim Gianna said would not be a problem at 450 rwkw with a 16 psi actuator . Will have to see about that on the day of tunning it .

Yes he said that the turbo he sold me is old hat now and that there are problems with them .I asked him to explain it on a forum and he started to attack me . If someone develops a turbo and hids the negative side off it I think that is wrong to do as it will catch up in the end .that is what a person send to me lol

Thanks, and yes I do make mistakes .I am human even if I am German . Why hide the mistakes I make I rather show people so they do not make the same ,that's how I try to help others . Looks like I even went for the wrong turbo set up .jim Gianna said over the phone before I bought it that it was better then a gtx as it spooled faster and holds boost longer , looks like now it has some sort of problems with back pressure or somthing which I got no idea on .will see how it goes anyway as I worked around that turbo for all the hot side piping and intake pipes as well . Suposed to have said it starts to melt at 200 decrease so it will not be a problem .lol

Got some parts back from the powdercoater . They powdercoated the inside of the radiator overflow bottle .will that couse any problems , the cap fits on well . The rocker cover also has a big run in it which I will sand back and polish. Nothing a sticker can not hide buggercan see in that picture that the inside of the radiator overflow bottle was not painted

Me too .rather not rush it now in the end . January will be 22 month its been of the road . Started dismantling the car mid April after the flex plate failed at powerplay in February . Does not sound so long ago but when you add it up its a long long time

Yes that is the most important of the whole build ,a good tuner like jamie .I can wait its no problem to me Looking good . Are you taking it to any events ? Torque time etc

Happy as , jamie booked me in in the new year to do the rest of the work before he will give it a run in tune . Gives me some time to sort everything out before I take it to him in 2017 .

I rather pay somone to do that .as the flex plate has to be drilled for Dowling to be fitted .itsca 10 mm thick flex plate from yella terra . The exhoust could not be much for him to do .he did say last time he would be able to weld one up with no problems . I know I could do the exhoust but why do it if somone can weld it in place there as it moves when you weld it when its not bolted up .I think I have done enough on the ute and itsctime for professionals to do the last bit of it . Thanks for your help barnz but I also got to look after my back as I have a permanent injury that I rather not make worse . That could put me of work for a long time .rather not risk that as that could meen the end for me . The injury I have could paralyze me from waste down . I sustained the injury at work about 10 years back and work cover did nothing .

Lol its all in my thread if you read it page to page .has always going to be that way . And he knew that also .[emoji106] 4 hrs and the box is in .on a hoist it is no problem at all .then the exhoust another 3 hrs max .yes that's a days work and all done . For me to do the exhoust I would have to trailer it to a shop first then get it welded . Rather get jamie to do that instead .

yes I will get a save tune done barnz that is a great idea lol. But that doesn't help me at all as I want the yella terra flex plate doweled and whatever they do to keep it from coming loose . Also I have this latest model gearbox that has no gears ,that does not even need oil . I am also not going to use a cat as that is to restrictive for my set up ,rather have it come straight out of the dump pipe . Yes I am not able to drive it there itscgot to get there on the back of a tow truck and as I asked jamie to finnish fitting the flex plate and box . Then they can also fit the rest of the exhoust as a standard jouner will not fit as the cat has not been welded to any flanges at all .they do not only tune cars they work on them as well. One thing I will refuse to fit is the gearbox as that is a carnt under the car to do , no thanks it was hard enough to fit the gutted gox [emoji12]

I also want them to go over the car before it goes on the rollers .to make sure its all ok before start up . I rather pay extra to get them to do it

Yes he is good that's for sure .I would be happy to wait for him to tune my car at the next free available time ha has spare .I know he is booked up most of the time .

I know that well .I would hate to let anyone know the real cost $ on this ute as it is mind boggling ,and its nothing special compared to proper build cars . I have made so many wrong choices that ended up costing me a fortune .I know some of it was my own doing but then there were also people that did not do the right thing by me like the guy that never send the 6 speed manual with the fg engine I bought . Then there was the first engine builder that charged me a fortune for nothing . I know I got toled by others what to do . I thought I knew more than I acturaly did and got taken for a ride . It still was a great journey in the end , lets see how I went with it all in the end . The tuner ether gives me thumps up or down .

Mate I am thinking about it real hard .but it would need to be run in first before the e85 tune ? I think I need a holiday beforevi do anything lol

But I would love to take you up on that offer .thanks for your support on my work I have done to the ute , I know that who ever tunes it will find some problems that I made in the build but I can handle that as I know I tried . that car has taken all my energy out of me and all I want is to turn the key and drive it . It still needs the cat joined to the dump and the twin 2.5 xforce exhoust. There are still litle stuff land some more hoses to run etc so next year sounds ok with me .no rush now after all thos time Such a long way to go for a tune , would need a full rebuild after I get it home as the last build only lasted 5000 klm lol
