  1. Thought I might revive this thread considering the amount of rain we've had of late... It will turn off TC if you do a quick press of the button and DSC if you hold it down till the light comes on. I just got the FG XR6T in manual and was very suprised at how quickly it transitions when you put power down (even gently) when turning a corner... Must have something to do with the quicker response of the smaller compressor wheel on the turbo!
  2. Yeah, I was pretty happy with it... I traded in my 03 STi with 80,xxx km's and got what I thought was a very fair price ($27k). I guess that the STi may hold it's value a little better than most Fords though?!?!? What are the F6's resale like?
  3. These prices are excluding on roads I guess???
  4. The first one kinda rolls off the tongue... OMGG6T PSIG6E GUNG6E WTBLSD - Wanted To Buy LSD (this ones my favorite)
  5. I selected the option in the poll to tick multiple boxes??? I hope I don't get it at all
  6. I got an XR6 turbo in manual Ego with Tech pack, tint and XR matts for $42500 Driveaway.
  7. ok, that's interesting. So you don't have any clunking when depressing the clutch between 1st and 3rd gears?
  8. Hi guys, I'm a somewhat nervous soon to be FG XR6T driver... I just bought my first XR, coming from Jap cars (most recently 03 STi). My car is due to be delivered in approx 2 weeks, it's a manual in Ego I noticed when I drove the demo model at the dealer that there was a lot of gearbox clunking when backing off or accelerating (resonably quickly) at low rpm. I also noticed that there was a fair bit of backlash (seemingly from clutch/gearbox area) when depressing the clutch in 1st, changing from 1st to 2nd and also 2nd to 3rd. The dealer told me that this particular car may have a bit of an issue and that the backlash issue has been all but eradicated in the FG (in comparison to the BA/BF). I am concerned because I am seeing quite a few people complaining about these exact issues in the FG manuals. Some people have had new gearboxes installed.... Has this fixed the problem? Is it really most, if not all FG drivers that are experiencing this, and if so, has somebody uncovered a fix for this? Does changing the gearbox oil help? Has anyone changed a clutch yet and did this help?

Why does fitting a rear sway bar reduce understeer, and is it worth going for the 22mm adjustable over the non adjustable? Thanks guys
  11. Is a rear sway bar the best way to easily reduce understeer? Is it really worth getting an adjustable 22mm one over a non adjustable 22mm one, as it seems that most people put them in and never touch again. Car is a 290 ute and when it was out at the track at Mallala on Saturday, it was very understeery. Not so bad mid corner, but initial turn in is shocking. Don't want to go crazy and upgrade to H/D springs or anything like that at this stage, as daily driveablility is paramount. Just want to make track days a little more enjoyable! Any recommendations? Happy to change to better rubber if that will make a much bigger difference, but prefer to do some minor suspension mods at this stage if possible if it's going to net good results!!! Thanks guys **Edit** Is it worth getting the 27mm front sway bay?
