Hi all I've dropped the oil out of the zf about 6 litres came out cleaned the sump refitted with new filter just wondering do l refill from the small plug on the opposite side of the drain plug reason I ask is was going to refill from there but noticed there is still fluid draining when I unbolted it help would be great Cheers

To add to this I've had my zf tuned I always drive it PM mode and have noticed harder shift changers the car is not a daily was tuned about 3 months ago and is now starting to flare from 2 to 3rd but only when cold ive checked the oil level and it's all good could the tune be doing this

Your best off running an after market supply line and filter then you can remove screen, otherwise leave it on but I would be inspecting and cleaning and or replacing on a regular basis

Hi all After doing some research on here regarding the heat exchange for the zf transmission failing I was convinced to purchase the PWR one and fit when I service the box. I spoke to the local tranny guy today and he recomended not to go for the PWR one and just fit a heavy duty one as the PWR one will yes stop a milk shake happening but cooling wise not much better than the standard one and reckons there sh*t when it comes to cooling. He only uses genuine oil and said he sells it for $37.50lt bottle or can sevice supply & fit genuine metal pan ,filter, oil, cooler and braided line for $950 what are your thoughts guys

Cooler is PW stepped , exhaust x force 4inch dump 3inch single herrod intake made 399 I believe there is still a bit more in these correct me if I'm wrong

Spiro at autotech has got 470kw out of a herrod intake not sure what cooler, PW stepped cooler is good to support 470 it's been proven

4 months, didn't push it hard enough to notice it until the other day when I changed the Tailshaft really thought it was the turbo Want to do a flexplate, atomic oil pump ZF service and pwr cooler and the race it

Hi all I'm running a pte 6235 just wondering at full throttle towards the end of the rev range or about to change to next gear I hear a loud noise like a load deep fart noise as that normal Ive had other turbo cars and never noticed anything like it can someone explain what that noise is Cheers

Yes my wrong I thought he was talking about the 2 bottom nuts on the manifold defiantly take the manifold off with the turbo on it

You can get them from the top I used a ratchet ring spanner but break it first

Is the ZF input shaft a slip out slip in installation or is there more to it

Remove the manifold with the turbo on it and then you will have access to do what's needed

DBA T3 front DBA T2 rear with good pads will do the job
