  1. Yeah mate for sure.. Im lucky to have a bestie with a workshop and a hoist I can use at will and all the tools to do things like that (pipe cutters).. I dont keep a stock of C spanners so I can see the stockers getting real tired real quick.. :/ Im sure they could be used to block off the coolant lines too for the Precisions/others that arent water cooled.. ???
  2. Rednose im hoping to be very close to those times next month.. 10.5 @ 135 has always been my goal with this car for what it is.. Wish me luck...
  3. I just put it up there for reference , just in case someone actually uses the search function before asking a question in a new thread :D lol
  4. If I spool any quicker ill be making 10psi at idle LOL :D
  5. ******** Update ******* Made 456KW with the crossover setup I mentioned here earlier so 450kw can be done easilly.. ran out of fuel pump so kept it at above figure for now.. Was only on 18psi too and yes with E85.. MTA750 Turbo..
  6. Thread revival.. Any luck with these tyres im looking at them as a possible alternative to the Et St Radials.. ??? and also where were they purchased ? anyone know where they have stock of them ?? and price also ?
  7. ZF mate.. and yeah the dyno readings on that dyno are always lower compared to other shops and tuners iv noticed.. I spose its about the 12.0 as u said and then up near 13s in the top end.. ill check my wideband when I get it out next to see what it says..
  8. Link to the video of the dyno run.. cant really get any more info out of the screen though.. https://www.facebook.com/hitorqueperformance/videos/963486450368576/
  9. It was raining on the way home but it feels very smooth just like the 98 tunes.. Wouldnt really tell its any different from a stocker.. Ill stretch its legs shortly :D
  10. Not on the sheet mate sorry..Just the torque and boost curves.. I can ask em for one in the next week and see if I can post it up..
  11. Yeah its maxed out as much as they were comfortable with .. went higher but were happy with that to leave it there.. I trust the dyno operator and their work and advice.. And its raining here so no demo's on the way home :( lol Diff getting done in a week or 2 then run it in and off to the track..
  12. If anyones interested the car just came off the dyno today .. Made 455.6kw / 610hp on 19psi on E85 with the single 044 / Surge and the stock intank with 944nm.. Injector Duty Cycle for the 1000s is at 85% and the fuel pump is maxed.. Maxed meaning they are more than happy to leave it there and be safe with a bit of play when its loaded up on the street/track... They are very happy with what it achieved today.. I made my goal I set at 450/600 and am very happy with my figures too.. Thanx to those who offered advice on the question I asked..
  13. Bosch EV14 3/4 length 1000cc, with adapters that I think may have been free for a promo, but were $80ea and $15 postage.. I dont need the tuning data really its what I pay my dyno operator the big bucks to modify and tailor to my needs.. And im sure if I had an issue with them they would be able to work something out.. Also if I added up the money I saved by sourcing cheaper prices etc throughout my build, rather than just copping retail and paying what they say, it would be almost as much as the money I have spent on parts.. $150 is better off in my pocket than anyone elses
  14. Not sure if sarcasm there mate, but looking at their site they are $100 ea + adapters n postage the price would be up above $650.. I had mine delivered to my door from Justin at TuffCarParts for under $500 for the same items..
  15. Toads my 10micron setup cost me about $100 and that's about 40% of the KPM unit for the same result :/ Honestly I reckon its WAYYY overpriced for what it is as is anything targeted specifically towards our cars..
  16. Guys Goleby parts up here in Qld have made this filter for a few months now.. I have no feedback on it sorry and its only rated at 40microns.. Pretty much the same filter as the KPM model and less than half the price.. http://www.golebysparts.com.au/parts/view/1262/76/ford-ea-au-ba-bf-fg-falcon/filters-coils-and-spark-plugs/ba-bf-fg-oem-style-serviceable-billet-fuel-filter
  17. Well we own 3 so take your pick Brisbane, Mackay or Townsville :D lol
  18. Mick im sure uv seen something like this before....yeah ? A drop in FP with the relevant 044 from 100psi back to 60psi INCREASES flow about 25%.. so your telling me iv not had ANY increase in flow by lowering my base pressure ?? iv already stated my tuner noticed a decrease in the stable base pressure he was able to achieve with relevance to the old setup and of others he has seen without the reg change.. get over the cradle mod.. regardless.. iv explained myself there... im out .. I will fill u in on my results.. thanx for your unconstructive and mostly negative unhelpful criticism..
  19. I thought I was done with this but here goes.. SO improved flow and decreased pressure at low rpm ?? yeah ?? and u say that has NO bearing on overall pressure and flow of the 044 ?? so decreasing FP and being able to lower the scaling of a restrictively high base FP has ZERO impact overall with flow u reckon ?? AND thus the lower the FP as a base rate at low rpm therefore lowers the rate at max rpm after a rising rate increase true ??? so lower base rate add 20psi from boost and u say there is no difference from a stock reg ?? lol next time u have a piss try pissing thru a straw and then change to a toilet roll and tell me this has NO impact on the pressure out the other side... :/
  20. My apologies for being vague.. im being vague because as said I dont actually know what was done 100% .. My friend did it at his mechanics shop on the bench while I was there and I dont know what the components are in a cradle.. All my previous fuel systems have been external and this is the first car iv had that uses a cradle and intank setup..
  21. Cheers mate for the advice.. im pretty sure u had commented or offered knowledge on the thread where I got my inspiration and idea to change reg.. The reg I have used is a drop in blueprinted 4bar reg (centre picture) as per good advice from a few other threads here.. I didnt take a comparison photo cause I was in a hurry but this photo is from another thread showing the diff between the size of the return hole which is a major restricting point in the system as all the system has to return thru the factory pinhole.. doing it again id do the drop in adjustable reg (right picture) that fits into the factory spot so there is a touch more adjust-ability or bung up the factory reg and plum in an after market into the 5/16 line..
  22. Please see post #8... I explained that earlier on.. and I have 1000cc injectors and im pretty sure they can handle the added duty cycle necessary to keep up with just 450kw.. but the main thing im explaining is the lower the fuel pressure the more efficient the pump is.. giving me a bit extra than the "usual" setup with the stock system and added surge setup..
  23. Please see above comment.. the car will be used very sparsely on this tune for the occasional drag meet and a track day here and there.. If the system has any issue on the dyno it will be cut short and re-addressed .. im sure my tuner will be able to see this and call it before it hurts it and give me some indication of how much further its got to go.. There will be no high beam load, no air con and all that business.. and yes I have a wideband fitted to the car to monitor the air/fuel.. AGAIN ratter its NOT about the small mod done to the swirl pot.. !!! cmon man your too smart of a bloke to argue with what im trying to say here.. its about the extra flow iv created by creating less of a restriction by enlargening the reg return hole.. its common knowledge that a pump flows more at reduced fuel pressure.. which again is what iv accomplished .. if 470kw has been done and sct911 hasnt mentioned anything of a blown motor im hoping 450kw is not out of the question safely.. im more than happy with my 98 tune for everyday duties and this will be an every now and then tune... Its the same drama with dudes pushing 500kw on a walbro 460 without a surge.. sure they may make the numbers but will create issues when under load and with under filled tanks etc.. nothing is safe on highly tuned engines...
  24. No I cant remember what it was exactly, we dismantled it on the bench and opened up a few things.. it was somewhere on here I read to do it as a small mod whilst cradle is out.. again its not what im claiming is the deal sealer.. if it has a small effect then it cant hurt to try it.. its mostly about lowering the base fuel pressure with the reg mod and thus greatly improving flow around the surge and to the injectors.. cant argue that pumps operate at a higher flow rate with a decrease in fuel pressure all round which is what I have achieved.. Will see anyways just about to book it in and see how I go with what I have..
