  1. Hi guys, unfortunately my Ute's up for sale at the moment... got a baby due any day now and the family car comes first :(. If the wife hasn't popped by the weekend I'll see if I can come along and say g'day. Also if you know ayone who's interested in a 'T Ute, it's at Honeycombes yard on consignment... '03 model, 21000kms, lowered, shiftkit, blood orange. Gotta sell soon!
  2. I had this problem with my Ute when I got it. I found it much worse at night with headlights shining through the screen. It turned out to be faulty laminate on the windscreen. I took it into the dealer and showed them, they eventually replaced it under warranty - they thought that there was nothing wrong with it until I told the service manager to take it for a drive, he came back rubbing his eyes... Hopefully yours will do the same!
  3. I'm looking at doing this in the next few weeks. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the ICC? My local Ford dealer isn't too keen on giving me a look...
  4. As per PM... If I finish moving house in time I'll be there for sure! Oh, and if the Ute will make it over those f'n speed bumps!!! (stupid superlow springs )
  5. Sorry guys, I'm working all this weekend... I've got next weekend off though!
  6. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone's keen to get together for a bit of a photoshoot, social gathering then maybe a quick cruise? I've gone along to a few that the local WRX club have done and they're actually quite a bit of fun... Last time we all met up down at Fishermans Wharf, everyone had a chat, took some photo's then went for a drive through town to East Point (well just down to the cliffs on East Point Rd anyway..) It was a good chance to admire the cars, meet the owners, grab some pics and swap some stories. All in all not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon. what are your thoughts???
  7. Aaarrrrrgghhhh!!!!!!!!! I can't keep reading!!!! It's starting to sound like I should be putting off the trip to Adelaide... I wonder if they'll postpone the wedding for me??? Well, make sure you all have heaps of fun - and beer!!! I'll be trying to sneak off at every opportunity to catch some of the action. Why anyone would get married on Bathurst weekend is beyond me... Might have to organise something for the Indy. Cheers!
  8. Dammit, I'll be in Adelaide that weekend :(
  9. I saw an Orange BA XR8 with a Mack Truck style bullbar up here yesterday... it looked bloody awful! If I can work out how to get the picture off my phone I'll try and post it for you.
  10. Ooops! I was led to believe that MRT were doing Ecutek for the BA's... Must have been wrong info...
  11. Check out MRT... They are doing the Ecutek flashes for BA's...
  12. Hi guys, I'm trying to organise a Dyno Day with a few of the LS1 guys at the moment. If anyone has Edit or is interested in getting Edited it will be a great opportunity. We need to get at least 10 people (either BA or LS1) together to make it worthwhile. We will be organising to bring up a tuner from Perth to perform custom tuning on both LS1's and BA's that have been Edited, and for those who do not have the Edit, we are trying to organise a special deal where you purchase on the day and get cheaper custom tuning. We can also organise fitment of injectors and other upgrades that will require custom tuning. At this stage I am only after expressions of interest, if there are people who are interested let me know probably via PM. It should be a pretty good weekend if we can get organised, and I hope we can get the numbers to make it happen! Cheers James
  13. talk about bad luck - I can just imagine the "what the......noooooooooooooo" as he realised what was happening! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hope fully this works... Right click - Save as... This was the video of Booya on fire...
  14. If you are planning on coming to Darwin, grab the BP card. Although we have Caltex servo's here none of them have premium fuels. Also on the way up the middle (Stuart Highway) there are plenty of BP's, and all have at least 95RON. We drove from Darwin to Cairns last year and got all the way without having to use 'standard' unleaded. Watch out for the cost though! I run my Ute on Ultimate and it costs $1.35/L here!
  15. Nice wheels... a mate of mine has those on his Supra - they look great! I'm pretty sure his came with the Nankang tyres and they seem to be fine. Can't be much worse than the SP3000's anyway!
  16. I did mine recently, I used Penrite HPR10 and a genuine filter.... After I got the filter a mate told me about the FPV filters. Apparently they're pretty good but cost about $30-40 Might look into that next time. I bought the oil wholesale in a 20L drum, works out to be just under $40 per service including the filter (genuine). I've used Penrite in all my cars for years and have never had an issue with it.
  17. Sat the 16th isd a good day for me. on another matter I visited a performance shop in Berrimah who play alot with Subi's + skylines, they have the use of a Dyno + know a mob who can tune the Edit, How about it Guys? anyone interested on doing a pre-drinks dyno run + tune up? QTRMILE, was it you who bought the bosch 968's? I missed out there! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope... missed out on those ones. I'll be in the running for some injectors and a decent exhaust fairly soon. That wouldn't be Adam's workshop in Pruen Rd would it? Drinks and Dyno run sounds pretty good to me! I'm racing the Ute in the LS1 Vs the rest challenge at Hidden Valley on the 29th, so a bit of a tune might help out there. Should be a great night! Would be even better if I wasn't the only Blue Oval out there! (hint hint..) Is anyone going to the NT Titles on the 16th? That'll be another big one at the Valley... Brett Stevens etc will be turning up, and hopefully Matt Abel comes back from down south with the Capri.
  18. I'll drop in for a beer(any excuse) and catch up with any other forum members. Sixfan?, QTRMILE? Lizard Bar?.......go-oooon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dammit! I'm working all weekend! Would love to catch up for a few beers sometime... I think my next weekend off is July 9/10.

    Vaporate

Same article was printed in the 'Sunday Territorian (NT)'...must admit I was pretty sceptical about this ordinary looking bit of gear! For $290- plus fitting, I can't really see what all the fuss is about. To recoup that sort of money from fuel bill savings, I reckon it'd take a fair bit of driving!
  20. I got mine lowered all round for $550- considering that's Darwin price, it wasn't too bad! Superlow King Springs in the front and reset rear springs, rides nice and firm but speed bumps are a bi@tch! Edit: I have the SCT Edit and mine doesn't tramp at all either!
  21. Mine's GREAT!

    Coolant

I got mine back today after Ford replaced the Radiator and also replaced the Turbo O-Ring that leaks... unfortunately they also did the reflash.... I specifically asked the service advisor not to when I booked it in, however they said that if it wasn't done warranty would be voided, so far the car seems ok... I'll re load the edit map tomorrow and see how that goes. Just interesting to note though, when I took the car in I pointed out the obvious leak from the radiator, and when I rang yesterday afternoon the service advisor said "oh, no the radiator wasn't leaking, it was the O-Ring...we'll need the car over night" When I picked it up today, he said "lucky we found the radiator was leaking, otherwise we would have only replaced the O-Ring" Glad my dealer listens to me... only been a qualified mechanic for 8 years....

    Coolant

My Ute's in getting the Radiator replaced today, it was leaking from the side tank closest to the airbox. When you look under the bonnet try and see if there's any white or cream coloured stains anywhere, usually a good indicator of where the leak is coming from...

    Got A Edit

I regapped my plugs today, as already mentioned it did reduce the surging, but it's still there (slightly). Temperatures are startin to drop to a nightly minimum of about 23C, and hopefully we'll get 15-16C min over the 'dry season' so that might help! I think I'll get the cash together for injectors and 'cooler then hope somone up here (Darwin) can custom tune me! :banghead:
  25. Had a similar problem with my old sedan, Ford replaced the diff oil and put in an LSD friction modifier and the problem went away... Seems that once the oil gets overheated it's stuffed! Causes the LSD to bind up when turning into carparks etc...
