just a day to day car no more than around 280kw so don't need a balls and all t400 I reckon the t56 mag will do the trick. cheers

So the 5spd manual gearbox in my BA xr6t popped out of 3rd today and started making horrendous clunking noises as I limped it home. It seems I still have all gears but the noise is pretty bad. Looks like I will be paying Mal a visit. I live about 2hrs away so I'm tossing up trying to limp it out there but would hate to lose all gears and be stranded... What do you guys reckon? will she hold together if I try not to load it up too much?

Had a similar problem at 125000km replaced coil packs and problem solved but probably best you get fault codes checked to be sure

From my exprience failing coils/plugs feels similar to when you hit trac control. From what your saying it's just a momentary power drop? Could be dirty/blocked air filter or bov not working properly causing turbo to stop spinning at gear shift.

155k on my BA and engine doesn't skip a beat on 12psi tune driving spiritedly often. Oil & filter change every 5k. Front wheel bearing packed it in recently - listen for knocking or whining noise if test driving. Other than just the usual stuff - bushes are flogged and power steer hose leaks

Experiencing this problem at the moment turbo is hanging on (loosely) by 2 studs only. Any recommendations for replacement to avoid this happening again? Also what is thread pitch? Might just pull one out and take to shop to match anyway.

Ordered the RDA slotted and dimples discs plus RDA extreme pads. Pulled the pads out of the box and noticed that one of them had crack through it where the friction material had separated. Obviously the product hadn't been QA checked.. Needless to say I'm sending them back. I think I'll get a set of of bendix pads. pic upload
