Is that price without rubber?

You would find it has nothing at all to do with the "parts ordering department", but it would be a supplier issue. There are many many parts that FoMoCo dont actually make, for example the intercooler, turbo, crossover pipe, wheels, differentials, glass, interior trims, bumper bars, I could keep on going quite easily...... All of these parts are sourced from different companies, and are not made by Ford at all. It doesnt take much to upset the external supplier. Some materials are simply not being produced anymore, and the supplier has to find alternative options. But most people find blaming the Parts dept for delays much easier! :banghead:

Maybe give it a week or so, there arent that many people that have had the new flash. Give it some time, so the results can be more accurate.

Is it just me, or the angle of the photo, is the top of the grille been colour matched to the bottom section of the bar? It seems to be a darker grey?

So what exactly has this post got to do with "what models we want destroyed?" Ummm, none!

I can show you more than a few warranty claims to Subaru for gearboxes in rex's if you like. While im at it, ill show you all the ones for the STI's motors that shat themselves too..... You might be immune to warranty, but your fellow rex drivers certainly aren't. Subaru has its fair share of warranty problems too, even with their piffling 168kw.

Friendly parts vendor? Me? you must be thinking of somebody else.... :lol: Trade price is $520. That is not fitted. You will have to get your local Ford dealer to reflash the ECU to recognise the reverse system, as it plays through your audio system. This price doesnt include colour coding either, I can organise that if you like, or you can sort it out yourself. You'll be amazed what a spraypainter will do for a box of beer.... :lol:

Mine is lowered, and I am just careful and mindful! Only scraped once, and that was before it was lowered. You know if you are going to scrape, I do anyway, so slow down to a crawl, and take the gutter/driveway/whatever at a angle! :bluegrab:

The genuine Ford ones can be put in afterwards. The sensors have to be colour coded (well they dont, but look terrible if you dont get them painted!) From what I have heard, the genuine Ford system is very good. Hope this helps. :bluegrab:

My signature says it all.... Ive spent nearly 10k on brakes alone! Ive spent over 30k on the motor alone in my XC. What am I thinking? Its all the little things that you forget about that quickly add up I find. I hate polls like this, reminds me of how much coin ive spent on the cars....

I wouldnt take that approach. I would say "im after a touch up paint, ive got the part number, its: M7 blah blah" and while he is punching the part number up on his computer, just say "I was quoted X amount for that part, does that sound about right?" If he says "who quoted you that price?" you can say "Another Ford dealership in the ACT. This is the recommended retail price I was quoted" Never go in saying "I want this part, and I want it at this price" Trust me! I hate people doing that! :banghead:

Geez! Making me work and stuff! Whaddya think this is? Back to the question, Ford seem to pick and choose their pricing! Winter White, Merc Silver, Silhouette etc have been around for previous models, but their cost varies..... New colours like Acid Rush and Phantom are typically more expensive, but even then their prices are all different.... You'd think that the older colours would all be the same price, and all new colours would be more expensive, but not necessarily! BTW, was just browsing through the colour code's, there are some strange colours coming out! I certainly havent seem any! Luscious? Offshore? :banghead:

Be glad you dont own a Harvest Green one, touch up weighs in at a mighty $18.45! By the looks of it, most people are getting ripped off when it comes to touch up paint......
