  1. I flicked herrods an email about their lowering package and said I wanted around ssl height all round. they got back to me saying they dont go that low? so I'm guessing their 'fix' is just to drop stuff all height. dunno about being a different design or anything.
  2. QUEEEEEEEEEENNNSLAAAAAAAAAAANDAAAAA!!!
  3. ah yeah good work I'm not too shabby on the tools but I dunno if I'd trust myself tearing my car apart, I might look into doing as much as I'm comfortable with myself then coughing up the cash for the labour on the rest. I'm guessing the intercooler install would be a pretty big operation! thanks for the info anyways mate cant wait to start modding this thing
  4. oh and who does all your install work? CPV?
  5. sold. dave it is.
  6. sounds pretty mad mate! I'll be looking to do roughly the same as you have with my ute, but I think I'll be strapping a gtx3582r on the side then either trying to organize something with dave (as I've heard he's probably the best bloke for a thousand k's around here) or shipping the car down to nizpro or tunehouse.
  7. white car with gunmetal wheels and bar...............sounds pretty damn sexy to me.
  8. hahaha I was just thinkin of doing this last night! gunna have a set of matte black wheels going on so I'll hit the sports bar with some matte black plastidip, should look half decent what colour car alexlees?
  9. cheers for the info j.d that's my new wheels all sorted then yeeewwwwww!
  10. looks like the drifts only come in 20x9 +20 for the front and 20x10.5 +30 for the rear. not really too concerned about the rear of the ute, but now the front has got me buggered. is 20x9 +20 with a 245 gunna scrub? from what I've read on here you dont wanna go any higher (e.g. +32) than +30, and +30 would be really flush with the guards. so +20 is gunna have a bit of poke?
  11. On a Fg Ute I want to try and fit 245/35 fronts and 285/30-35 rears on, so I might have to get a higher offset for the fronts to tuck them in a bit in that case thanks for the info
  12. Anyone got an idea of the offset here?I'm looking at a set of vertini drifts for the ute 20x9 +30 front and 20x 10 or 10.5 + 20 rears sound rightish??
  13. haha yeah dont think I'll be visiting them in person, hopefully I can just send them the icc cover for them to mount the guages to and I'll take care of the rest. definately liking the dash mat idea there too
  14. looks the goods! thanks for the replies mate looks like I'll be flicking top end an email monday!
  15. Ah yeah egt would read pretty much the same all the time with a healthy engine yeah? I havent read too much into them, I think I'll be goin boost, oil press and either afr or fuel pres. hows the vision over the dash now?
  16. Hey Boganspeed, just wondering if you'd had your guages done in the mk2 yet? I'm pretty keen on the same deal and would be interested to see how they look!
  17. hey j.d what were the white set you had on first? lovin the look
  18. yeah should be a great drive! doin the putty rd, great ocean rd, mt panorama and a few other scenics along the way cheers fellas and thanks for the tips!
  19. hey lads, just a quick one, I myself am also picking up a new kinetic manual mk2 turbo ute from melbourne this friday and driving it all the way back home in cairns, just under 5000k's! you reckon it'll be all good to go this far without getting an oil change on the way?
  20. Insured for 41,000 Not sure about excess I think its around 1200 I've been with AAMI for around 6 years and rating 1 so not sure if that counts towards anything, I'll have to have a look at the insurance certificate next time I'm home. My old man cracked the sh*ts too cos he pays 750 for his g6et with no tickets or accidents at all in his 30 or so yrs behind the wheel!

hey everyone Ben here. I've been eyeing off a turbo for a few years and have finally taken the plunge. picking up a 2012 FG Mk2 kinetic ute from Etheridge next week and driving it all the way back up to cairns. Been reading around on the site for ages and have a pretty good idea of how far I wanna take the car mod wise, so I'll be hanging out for that warranty to run out!!
  22. $700 through AAMI for a 2012 FG Mk2 Turbo Alot cheaper than I expected for a 22yo!!
