  1. The *beep* tried that, turns out most people didn't agree with the concept.
  2. I'm just waiting for the next post. "I took it for a thrash and it's gone bang"
  3. Thank for the pep up. What is SEO short for? I'm still thinking about it. I'm looking for a good price Tig AC DC welder ATM. Once I get that I'll be in a good spot to start. I have just fixed up the lathe and the motor swap ( 3 phase to single phase) for my mill is on its way.
  4. I would be trying to find where the oil went before driving it. Loosing 5.5 litres of oil is worrying.
  5. Maybe knocked the oil return line from turbo and broken it? Check under car for signs of oil splashed everywhere. So once you put oil in you still get the rattle? I'd do a compression test.

  7. I have pulled the turbo for my old car that has been ported and larger actuator. I have tested both turbo's and they both have a small amount of movement in and out. Is that normal? I want to get the turbo reconditioned how much am I looking to and where in Melbourne is a reasonable price and reliable? Also how do I know if the actuator is a 12psi as the writing is gone? I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk
  8. For the time being I will be keeping the xover until the piping comes for the plazmaman intercooler. Once I put the cold side piping do I need a valve or just connect the intake pipe to the crank case?
  9. I have the intake pipe and it has the spike for the breather pipe. Do you connect it straight to the crank case? The factory breather has a valve. Do I need a valve?
  10. I'm from Melbourne too. I have no idea what the rules are. Maybe the won't notice
  11. Waiting for the pipe to arrive. Ordered it on the 8th!!!!
  12. OK here are the pictures of the battery relocation I made and also the air box.
  13. Ok, I though I would write a a quick "how to" on replacing the stock oil feed line with an Earls filter kit. I did this while I was changing my oil so I had the oil filter removed which made it a lot easier. Start off by removing the sender cable from the sensor. Now use a long socket and remove the sender unit. This is what should be left on the car. Remove the washer and the old oil feed line and the washer behind the feed line. (unclip the old line from around the top of the engine will make it easier to move) Use another long socket and remove the adapter that goes to the block Put the adapter into the vice and inside the unit remove the clip. With the clip removed now pull the small filter out. The instructions I had said to clean it and put it back. I pulled mine out and left it out. When I put the banjo over the adapter I noticed the hole didn't really line up so I elongated the hole.     Now I'm happy the oil will flow.     Now remove the old oil line from the turbo and throw it in the bin.   Screw the adapter into the turbo to receive the braided line.   Install the adapter back into the engine. You will need to use some sealer on the threads. Screw the braided cable to the banjo. Put the washer then the banjo then the washer and the sensor back on and plug the cables back in.     Run the braided lines to the filter and tighten everything up. Make sure you take note on which way the arrow is facing on the filter when you install it! I'm currently making a bracket from aluminum that screws to the from of the engine to hold the filter.
  14. Ok I have the 500x400x76 which is the 1200hp for $600. So now I need the 76mm cold side piping.
  15. How can I tell what HP rating it is?
  16. I've scored a plazmaman pro series for $600 (I think that's a good price). It "came" with the cold side piping but it's not the plazmaman one. It's 60mm in diameter. Will that be a big restriction? The plazmaman one is 76mm from what I read.
  17. Will a 600x300x100 fit or stick with a 600x300x76?
  18. What other options do we have?
  19. Thanks. I'll try bending it CAREFULLY!
  20. I'm looking at bigger coolers but the aircon lines are in the way on my BF. Has anyone successful moved them without cutting or re-gassing? Why they mounted them there I have no idea. Do they bend or just crack and snap?
  21. Question. I saw this video. What makes the turbo sound like a jet? I'm not a fan of the dosing noise though. What power is the stock turbo good for if ported?
  22. Great. If nothing is to be done I'll just bolt it up. Thanks everyone.
