Well that’s crap, just rang my ford service guy, reckons yes, they’ll look at it, but charge me. Reckons that last time he did warranty work on the car he got into trouble with ford and had to pay for the repairs out of their budget. Something about the extended warranty on the car not being transferable between owners or only once.... I will ring 1300 FORD and escalate the situation. He reckons nowhere on the extended warranty does it state that it’s not transferable. When I bought the car, I rang ford and asked them. They said it stayed with the car, regardless. I can see I sht fight starting

The little orange "tap" light on my dash came on today :( Temp was just above 1/4 and reservoir was as per normal, so fk knows. Ring ford in the morn and see what they say, sounds like more extended warranty work for them. Anybody have the same error come up, and if so what was it? 2006 BF xr6t

Then add it all together with the 3.5" tube, the bends, and O2 sensor bung and even though the off the shelf dump pipes arn't bolt in, it makes you rethink making the whole thing from scratch......may be better off getting a made dump, and an off the shelf cat, just the twin flange and banging it all together.

Guys, looking at fabing up a new front section of the exhuast on my Bf, any body point me to some one who has the lasercut flanges for sale? I need the one on the back of the turbo, and the "twin" flange so I can bolt up to the existing middle section. Thanx

agree that the CAPA core is smallest and some of it is hidden by the front bar, but Im not chasing 500rwkw. Im only after 300rwkw so for the $$$$ and ease of fitmnet fits the bill nicely.Its sit nice and high in the bar aswell which would help with any potential ground clearance issues. I too intend on spraying it in satin black.

Guys, Im looking at modding my stock 06 BF turbo XR. Looking at tune, injectors, cat, dump (maybe) and intercooler. Dont want the car to look modified, or change airbox, battery etc so I want a cooler that will fit with no hacking or customising of the visible pipes in the engine bay. dont want a Monza one either. Im looking for something that will help making a reliable and resonably repeatable 300rwkw (or limit of standard fuel pump which ever comes first ) Options I know of so far: Plazmaman stage 1 (approx $1000 new) Process west stage 1 (approx $1000 new) Capa stage 1 (approx $500 new) anybody know of others that fit the bill? More importantly, anybody got one of the above second hand and want to sell them due to upgrading? Anybody see a problem or got some advice in regards to the above? cheers ale

Cool, I can live with 250 rwkw for now. In regards to turbo mods, I have a 0.7 comp cover lying around of a gt35r I lunched on another car. Would this be off any improvement on such a midly tuned car? Im assuming it would add a little lag, more airflow and maybe slightly lower intake temps, but not really worth it unless I already had dump/cat/wastegate mods and 300+ rwkw? also, is a BA/BF F6 factory cooler a good upgrade if only looking for 300 rwkw? Ie, Injectors, tune and F6 cooler, all else stock , would it make a reliable 300rwkw? If so, how much boost would it need.

Thanx guys, I think we are on the same page. I spoke to him today about this, prior to posting, and he was saying that that there was some scope for zf tuning. I told him I was keen for a harder shift whilst in "sequential" and he said no worries......? So I'm thinking first step will be, tune up with no mods, just a clean up and a bit of boost. Bit it, but estimates on a rwkw reading using a dd dyno? Second round would be a better cooler and injectors, more boost,guess's?

Hey guys, just joined the flacon turbo ranks and after having it for 3 weeks already thinking of a tune up. 2006, 6 speed auto, only mod so far is a K&N panel. Long term mods would be cooler (only),and injectors if needed, making sure the engine bay looks stock and that the car will still drive like a standard car when driven normally. Prefer to stay in the limits of the standard valve springs and standard fuel pump. I own other performance cars and trust my tuner 100%, he has told me he would tune it using HP tuner software. I have no issue letting him loose on the car, but Im intrested to hear why most only use the SCT software? Ive always thought along the lines of choose a tuner you like/trust, then select software/hardware that they are versed with and prefer. So apart from the storable/switchable 3 tunes in the Xcal, why shouldnt I let my tuner loose on my car using HP tuner?
