Hardie spice will ballance and fit a new centre bearing for $200 talk to ricky, they use the same bearing but just silicone implant the rubber boot around the bearing. Im fighting ford ATM for the same problem done 8500km on a my new f6.... saying they wont replace it because of "abuse"... My utes been at ford for 3 weeks now... total bullsh%$

My center bearing collapsed after 8500ks in my new fg f6 manual ute, got it picked up by ford roadside and taken to my ford dealerhip. At first they said they would do the bearing under warranty, but when they found out they had to replace the entire tailshaft they said ill have to pay for it ($2500)!! They said they think the car has been driven harder than most they have seen so wont replace it... Its total bulls*%t! surely these FPV's should be able to handle to power they come with without problems like this? Has anyone else had this problem in their fg?

that's the noise its making, but it happenend on my way home, and it would have to be a hectic ziptie, more like a thick hose clamp noise.... cheers though, first thing I did was jack her up and have a good look...

My gearbox in my manual fg f6 ute (8500kms old)( I think) has started making a really bad tick tick tick sound, it happened 100m from my house so I immediately stopped and rolled home. (The sound it makes would be like a bolt hitting the driveshaft bolts), speeds up with speed but doesnt change speed with gear changes? any help please?

Haha nice^^ , yea I dont know why it has the ford badge, need to get that changed.... and its an option for the colour screen, its a late 2010 build.

West head syd No mods, just vented stock bov and center muffler removed... will be taking it to cv very soon though

Got my F6 2 weeks ago and got done doing 134 in a 100 zone,I already have 4 demirits against me! cop said I'd loose 6 points but ive looked it up and its 5 but doubled because of these double demerits!!!! The question is do you loose your licence for 30kph over the limit? are there any ways around it; ie going and getting a qld licence? Help!!!!

Cheers guys, Yea firsty I want to sort out the axle tramp, It really only seems to do it on super sticky roads, snapping it into second? had anyone had them fitted to the fg ute, I read alot on the bf, with one of the guys on this forum making them but not much on the fg. I want to lower it so need to take that into consideration when getting tramp rods. Looking at getting cv performance to do tune,intake and exhaust right after the new year to start off and later in the year (tax time) get more work done looking for 400rwkw

I think ive seen your ute a couple of times on the beaches? do you have the silver wheels? I have to my knowlege the only white fg f6 on the beaches :)im also a builder, not that I carry tools in my new baby though.

My new fg f6 tramps quiet alot as well, especially when I use launch on sticky roads like hotmix... im looking at getting tramp rods asap! ive only done 2500kms and it seems to only do it in straight lines and spapping it into second hard.... are there tramp rods avaliable for the fg?
