Yeah the link was just for the picture so people can get an idea of what they look like. they came with the car so I don't know where they were bought from. is there a way to identify if the wheels are genuine fpv or not?

im looking at upgrading my current brake setup for my car and wanna know if anyone with the same rims as me has managed fit brembos on the front and rear. my current rims are the ba mk2 gt-p rims pictured here http://www.wheelking.com.au/Wheels/tabid/196/ctl/ViewItem/mid/649/item/255/Default.aspx . im not sure if they are a copy or real versions of the rim but I assume that the clearances would be the same. probably a stupid question as I think the original gt-p car had brembos fitted from factory, but better to be safe than sorry
  3. I have an aux cable coming out of my premium sound icc and it whines really badly. and they are quiet to begin with so the louder you crank it the louder the whine gets haha. that asl kit looks interesting, do you have to pull half the dash apart to fit it and have it and will it integrate with my icc like my current cable does?
  4. I took the car for a quick spin up the street the other day to see how the brakes were and they worked just as they normally would have done. was thinking maybe possible that booster has a problem causing the brakes to drag which has boiled the brake fluid and made air bubbles which in turn caused my brakes to stop working 100%?
  5. a few weeks ago I was reversing my car (BA mk2) into a car park and heard a metal on metal grabbing sort of noise when I started rolling backwards. I drove forwards again to see if the sound repeated and it did. I thought it was something to do with the suspension and figured id see if it repeated the noise the next day. it didn't make the noise so I thought all was well. but, earlier on this week I had been driving the car for maybe an hour or so and then noticed this horrible vibrating noise through the car at about 80kmh which felt like I had either a flat tire or the abs was going on and off really quickly. I pulled over checked the tires found nothing and took off again and the vibration had stopped. dropped off friend, drove for another 5 mins and stopped at a traffic light and noticed that went I went to roll forward the car didn't roll naturally to a stop but stopped quickly like sh*tty bearings on a skateboard. growing more concerned by the cars bad behavior I was quick to get home to have a look, got half way home and went to slow down, foot goes straight to the floor and car just slowly rolls to a stop. popped the bonnet, fluid is ok but brakes keep going to the floor and the drivers side rear brake now makes a groaning noise when I pump the pedal. ive read a couple of threads about this and im not sure if the booster has caused all this or ive damaged a brake line. sorry for the long story haha but lots of info is helpful any help would be appreciated!

well I took the car into an auto leccy and they have said that the TPS is faulty and replaced that without first telling me it would cost $800 :( and also have told me that the pedal box is also faulty and needing replacement. I stopped them before they could go ahead with that because they are looking for an extra $900 to install that part which I think is a bit steep. does anyone know the ford part number for these pedal boxes, and if a self install would be relatively straightforward?

its a ba mk 2. the problem was fairly intermittent before but I hadn't had the car for a couple of weeks due to getting a new malwood option 4 clutch fitted. now it happens 90% of the time when boosting. ill have to take it in to get looked at soon just need to save up a bit more cash the clutch wasn't cheap im from townsville does anyone know of any good tuners here?

yeah the car has been tuned to suit the amount of boost its running but that's how I bought it. sometime later this year im looking to do some more modifications to it that will require a retune, and ill be looking to dial down the boost a bit to a more moderate level as no bottom end work has been done to the engine and the last thing I want is to be bending rods. this week or next ill take it to my tuner for a dyno run and see what they have to say

so its most likely just a tune issue not a mechanical failure?

recently ive noticed my xr6t has had the engine light coming up on the dash for a couple of seconds during boost. the car runs a fairly high amount of boost (around 18psi) but the light has been coming on before the boost is at its highest level, maybe even at around 10psi. it doesn't happen all the time either I have probably seen it appear only a handful of times in the time I have been driving it while boosting. im a bit worried its not a nice thing to see the dash flashing lights at you when you give the car a bit haha. has anyone else seen this problem and know of what the cause might be?
