Mate I've had 2 XRT's both with 20% full metallic tint all round. I've never had a problem with FM reception, only AM. Between Sydney and Canberra, once I get cut off from one city, I switch to the other.

Pre Christmas.. I'm all up for a Family type event, however around Feb/March I'm planning a Family weekend out at Dubbo Zoo + other activities

It's not the problems with the car that brings Ford down..sh*t breaks in every car... It's the service or lack of, and the sheer stupidity of most Ford service departments that bring them down..

In the engine bay check out your radiator and intercooler mounts, in the cabin check out the hinges that hold the front seats up. I reckon Ford should offer a galvanising option, those that want to keep their cars for more than 3 years warranty option it up, for those that don't forget about it..

I think the GTI would tempt the XR5 crew The two car's don't even compare... The XR5 is a torque steering, tiny, cheaply put together using cheap materials, creaky sh*tbox that freaks out when seeing a corner. A XT Falcon handles better. The GTI doesn't have torque steer even when using launch control, and handles brilliantly with next to no body roll, and is a very solid car. I can see why Aniken, and my workmate chose the GTI over the XR5 after I drove both of them..

I wonder if it was the same tosser salesman driving the XR5 as it was on the day that me and a few mates took one for a drive. He kept whinging about how quick we were going on bobbin head road...but shut up once I reminded him that I didn't want him to go with us anyway

I was only interested in the T1-R, and that's the one I got average feedback on. Let me know how they go after 15000km. I've had tyres that seemed really good for 5-10K and then they were absolute sh*te. The best tyres I've used so far are the goodyear GS-D3 F1. Awesome in the wet and excellent in the dry. There are stickier dry tyres, but none can beat them in the wet. When you've got 290rwkW in a v8 and no TC, you choose the best wet weather tyres. The Sport Maxx are actually better in the dry, but haven't hammered them in the wet as it doesn't rain in Sydney these days. ← Mate the F1's aren't the best wet weather tyre..

DBoss organises a top f*cking cruise with a bunch of his mates and invites us Ford guys along and you get the sh*ts about it? If you reckon you can do a better job at keeping 50 - 100 cars together get your arse into gear and organise a run. If you only want to see Fords jump on one of the forum cruises.
