09 g6et ,now has 64k diff bushes changed at 30k.put in lsd at 50k ,hope the new bushes last longer !

top choice on colour ,I wish I didnt hate washing cars I got white, g6et are a top choice and super cool!if we all got grandpa cars why do all the jealous boy racers want to line us up? xr6 are everywhere.

im averaging 11.9 using it for sales reps car me and 100kgs of stuff in the boot.average speed 45 km an hour with a bit of fway and ring road use .min 10-12 stops a day . I floor it about half a dozen times a day with chirpies .my old ba xr6 mk11 n/a was averaging 12.5 with no flooring it..must be the 6 speed auto ,for the power im wrapped with the milleage.oh yeah I got 52k on clock and goes well with shell 95 or 98,all the rest are crap less mileage!when using crap fuel getting 12.4 or so!

nice 1, I got the same car ,brand spanker paid a bit more ,but claimed on tax .chose white cause it looked classy and sporty.also because the grills stand out less than darker colours .its easy to keep cleen.by the way try a 50 aniversary rear bar insert,its dark grey I fitted to mine a few weeks ago .it looks great and you dont see the dust on those louvers.got the lsd fitted last week its a bit scary, easy to loose around corners? how many kays?

yeah,got mine new dec09. done 50k since then.noticed it creasing at 20k on drivers seat base right hand bolster.sponge is also collapsing/flattening much more than the left side bolster.the leather and sponge they use on australian cars is crap.been thinking to complain to ford? my ba mk11 xr was the same,im not even a fat bastard at 85kg , youd think they would test leather and sponge combos used .

I agree all class ,xr6s are a dime a dozen too many around.look great only with 19 inch ,ive done 51k in 13 months and love driving it .only problem is the ford service departments .been to 3 so far in 13 months and all of them are hopelees they fix a trim,glovebox,diff bushes or aircon issue and stuff up something else!got it a brand spanker.I still love it ,but I wonder how great it could be with better quality control.

I have racv in victoria,no probs have also had qbe also ok.im 45 rating one .have the car insured for business use , private use was $1350 or so with racv.

done 45k with a few burnouts and a lot of second gear chirpies.still had a bit of tread but edges gone first.

hi anyone notice how the 50th aniversary model has gps standard ,but is missing felt lined glove box and fabric covered sun visors! anyone notice any thing else? ford have to save money somehow I guess to pay for the gps! I like the shadow treatment and the rear bar,but dont think much of the dash fascia surrounds or embrodery on seats.my black and fake carbon fibre looks better....

bloody hell !I got a oct 09 build g6et ,brand spanker for xmas no tissue box ?just a hole under the command centre where I keep my smokes.from city ford melb good price but ?.I was also missing the ipod cable on delivery,but I got an extra set of lock nuts for my 19inch wheels.I hevent even seen the tissue box ya got a pic .

ok thanks guys .daniel do u have a sunnys holder in your bf? ill still prob wait to see prestige again when they have got one.they had photos but not a good angle ,custom said the head linning wont come out nice as its a fairly steep angle up to the sun shade if I use the sunny holder.

I went to prestige had a look around ,spoke to steve they just got rid of an fg that they done they ring me when they have another one ,as I want to see the job they do on head linning with sunglass holder intact .ill prob get them to do it ok for $2195 with roof stiffeners.

hey congrats ,but dont go to city ford for any warranty issues I had several trims items etc ,first they dicked me around then I mentioned some names!still dicked around then agreed to fix after I rang ford customer service and presto ford said all dealer issues.ford rang the service department and within 5 mins they rang me back,silly of city to tell me to ring ford customer service also every time they fixed something the f$%d something else.oh well one more trip to city hopefully?

ok thanks for the pics timbos99 .ill go to prestige and check him out .custom also said if done your way might be gaps where light comes in from front edge when shade is closed .is yours good and tight/dark? ill prob go with prestige as I like the sunny holder and its a $320 item from ford that ive been told cant be fitted to cheap xr6,s due to roof linning shape!

ok I rang prestige today was quoted $2195 fitted with roof stiffener system .also said can keep sunglass holder.has pics on his site $185 extra for rain sensor. I thought not bad . so went back to custom $2150 plus rain sensor to see if could keep sunglass holder and if he uses roof stiffeners.told me no to sunglass holder as it comes up poorly.mainly large distance from headlinng to sun shade,angles etc he wont do.wanted an extra $185 for roof stiffeners said not needed.he comes highly recomended from a window tinter friend and does the whole job himself .I can tell the guy is fussy and would do a good job .but prestige would be about $430 cheaper, including the new over head light,not worried about the $ just want a good job with the head linning.......anyone had one done on a g6et with sunglass holder intact by prestige with pics ...........

hey any one get a rolled edge sun roof fitted ?I went to custom , maidstone in melbourne was quoted $2150 for a standard type hollandia 700 with plastic edge around hole(I buy the new front overhead light) .have been told by many that this guy is the best .I met the guy and I know hes good, but doesnt really want to do a rolled edge as its a lot of work and the whole roof needs painting.id think a rolled edge would give less noise .any one get one done or just go with the crowd?

I paid $51250 0n 16 dec 2009 for brand spanker g6et whinter white and charcoal interior ,19 inch wheels , ge enhancement pack .2300 kg hayman reece tow bar ,bonnet and headlight protectors .I thougt it was an ok deal. 2010 build was quoted about $4000 to $5000 more.as no more factory kick backs !from a big dealer in central melbourne .by the way no sat nav as I think its useless I got 2 gps .not worth $2300 as I can get for $1500 after market ,better of with a sunroof for $2500 or so.

any one change the box ? thinking ss growler maybe .any probs with the dealer on warranty and is there a major difference in power?>

why not put fpv badges on? they look better ,its a ford isnt it and its insured as a performance vehicle.I couldnt afford an original fpv but I can pay $100 for the badges.its only an brand new fg g6e turbo with 19s.anyway I got the badges off .the front is held by locating lugs on inside of grill,to unclip must remove plastic cover b/tween grill and radiator.a bit fiddly ,the rear boot badge has locating lugs and double tape used a plastic chisel to pry it off ,no damage.the back looks great ,but I might spray the front grills black to contrast .car is winter white.

hi just wondering if anyone knows an easy way to remove front and rear badges of fg g6e turbo,I got original fpv ones to put on and I dont want to damage the griil or boot chrome.they seem very hard to simply pry off .
