  1. Finally just scrapped into the 60's, I think if I had the guts to turn traction control off it could have been a low 59. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Lakeside Time: 60.952 sec Power: 404kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  2. You may not need one. Depending on what body is sanctioning the event eg CAMS, They may permit the use of the inbuilt factory safety latch as the secondary bonnet restraint. Failing that, An old leather belt run through the latch and down to your front tow point would do the trick.
  3. Yeah I replaced the last of the rubber bushes in the rear end, re-tuned with a little more power and tweaked tyre pressures a little. I really need some down force, I had a massive spin through turn 1 in the 4th session. Hopefully next time I can make it into the 56's.
  4. Brilliant day at the track awesome weather and smashed another 1.6178 sec off my PB. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Queensland Raceway (Sprint Circuit) Time: 57.1209 Power: 405kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  5. I raced my BF back in 2009 with stock brakes and as said, Good pads and Brake fluid are essential. Depending on how aggressive the track is, You'll probably get about 3 laps before the brakes overheat. How ever if you plan on upgrading the brakes in the near future for racing purposes, I'd recommend a minimum of 4 pot calipers on the front and territory calipers on the rear.
  6. Exciting day at Lakeside, A few broken cars and 1 minor crash. Shaved 0.603 sec off my PB even with over heating the front tyres. Might have to got to a Hard compound. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Lakeside Time: 61.307 sec Power: 404kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  7. Another great day at QR, Managed to shave 0.8488 sec of my PB. I think it may be time for some down force now. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Queensland Raceway (Sprint Circuit) Time: 58.7387 Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  8. Just got an email from Queensland Raceways, It seems imposing housing developments are threatening our local race tracks.
  9. Yeah they are/were EBC Blues, here's whats left of them after about 5 meetings.
  10. The static hub to guard height is 330mm. Racing at night is pretty eerie because you can't use high beam, You can't see the exit on most corners and it's hard to judge braking distances. With all that aside, It's still an awesome experience.
  11. I think I found a new favorite pic of my car.
  12. Yeah the z214 are a great tyre, The only thing I miss about the z221 is the audible squeal when your reach the limit.
  13. Absolutely awesome night at QR, Smashed another 1.4sec off my previous PB. Also had a great dueling battle with a Ford Daytona and Ford RS Sierra. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Queensland Raceway (Clubman @ Night) Time: 62.5157 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Z214 Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  14. Back at Lakeside today. No new PB unfortunately, But mange to get within 0.258 sec of it. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Lakeside Time: 62.168 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  15. They are available for the FG, I think there's some listed on Ebay. I use the EBC Blues on the street as well. Previously I've gotten around 5-8 mettings out of a set, The heat kill them pretty quick and EBC Reds just crumble apart.
  16. I've just got a harness with the stock seat, I'd prefer to remove the rear seats to save weight then fit a bucket seat. Also the car go in for a re-tune in a fortnight, I'm aiming for around 450rwkw.
  17. I think a high 60 might be possible with the current setup, but its a matter of having no traffic. Towards the end of the last session the Evo was holding me up on a few point on the track, I just couldn't quite get past him safely. The PBR-M are 355mm, 6pot front and 355mm, 4pot rear with EBC Blues all round. Back in 2009 I did a few races with the factory 2pot brakes and trying to stop from 190kph was just ridiculous. I literately had my ass off the seat standing on the brake trying to stop. The PBR-M work wonders, Although I did managed to crack a set of rotors just from excessive heat.
  18. Another good day at Lakeside yesterday. Shaved another 0.767 sec off my PB and gave an Evo9 and a R34 gtr a good run for their money in the last session. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Lakeside Time: 61.910 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  19. Hey, do they group you according to lap times? That's what they do up here and it works well most the time. Occasionally when numbers are low, they'll group slow and fast cars together.
  20. Finally today I was able to crack the 60sec mark and knock another 0.6sec of my previous PB. http://racing.natsoft.com.au/635782865/object_9225712.70Q/View?1 Car: BF XR6t (#350) Circuit: Queensland Raceway (Sprint Circuit) Time: 59.5875 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Z214 Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  21. Mine are the older style GT/GTP with 24 adjustment.
  22. The fronts are 16 clicks from full soft and the rear is 18 clicks.
  23. Had a great night last night, Only 11 car running and managed to knock another 1.8sec off my PB. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Queensland Raceway (Clubman @ Night) Time: 63.280 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Z214 Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
  24. I think from memory it's a Rapidsystems 800hp unit, It seam to do a good job. I've never logged intake temps, But after a session the outlet side of the intercooler remains cool to touch.
  25. Another good day at Lakeside, No new PB but got with in 0.406 sec of it. Not bad for a 41°C day. Car: BF XR6t Circuit: Lakeside Time: 63.083 sec Power: 389kw Suspension: Tein Tyres: Hankook Brakes: PBR-M Weight: 1890kg with driver
