  1. Hey guys, Just about to do a gearbox oil change brought some Transmax Z, I have searched around on here and found I need to fill it via the Reverse sensor whole. What did you guys use to get the oil in it? I am thinking some sort of fluid pump? I have a pump I used to do my diff but I don't really want to use that as it has had diff oil in it. What would you guys suggest?
  2. Thanks for the comments guys, yea hopefully getting a new clutch in a month of so. I just had to get the girl friends gearbox rebuild so that set me back a bit. All I hear is good things about the Mal wood clutch so I will be getting one of those for sure.
  3. I got a xforce stainless cat back, isnt too loud and has a nice note. You shouldn't need a custom tune if your only getting a catback exhaust. I ran my catback for a few months without a tune and didn't miss a beat, if you change the cat how ever you will probably need to get it tuned.
  4. How hard is the ETM oil line to install? I want to put one of these in, good peace of mind.
  5. thanks for the responce guys, yea I was just wondering that's all. I agree don't be a idiot and they "usually" leave you alone.
  6. Guys, I have one of these kits on my car, its bloody awesome but I am just wondering now it stands out like dogs balls how legal is this induction system on these kits. Anyone out there been done for having this kit or similar installed?
  7. The option 3 comes with a new billet steel flywheel, new ARP flywheel bolts, new spigot bearing, new 11'' HP clutch kit and new alloy CSC. Price was from memory around 1500 or so, best to ask Mal for the lastest price.
  8. These cars don't like you to just simply wind the boost up, it needs to be tuned according to the boost. If you want a cheap power upgrade you can buy a flash tuner with some generic tunes but I don't recommend it as the generic tunes are a bit hit and miss. Best thing to do is get it custom tuned should be able to get about 220-240rwkws with a custom tune, all depends on how everything holds up every car is different. You should do a little reasearch on this stuff first there is a whole heap on information on this site, just use the search function. Also you should be alright with your valve springs in a 07 BF.
  9. Shark is right, I see so many dumps out on the road yet our cars and some other modified cars are perfectly fine and we get targeted. You could be driving like a little old lady and they will pull you over because you have a nice looking car, I have nothing against them doing their jobs and getting the idiots off the road but sometimes their descretion way out.
  10. I am running stock valve springs with the RAPID highflow v2 kit, my vavle springs are fine running 310rwkws 12psi boost. My stock clutch slips some times but I agree with rapid you can drive around it and make them last quite a while, just start saving for a new clutch just incase you can't help yourself and it goes bang.
  11. This is a very common issue in these cars, you could try a noise filter, a member on here custom makes them, his member name is Panda.
  12. My subs are clarion this is a link to them My Subs My amps are no namers, I had a 1000watt pioneer 2 channel amp and it sounded crap with that compared to the no namers. I will check my enclosure I am pretty sure it will be sealed as I sealed all the inside edges with liquid nails but I will double check. Thanks mate
  13. sounds like a intense operation going on, people have been talking about this at work today
  14. depending on how far you are planning on taking it, you can go the whole hog and get a Surge Tank but in most peoples cases the intake Walbro fuel pump is a great update from the standard one. Can't remember exactly what the Walbro limits are, im using one in my car at the moment and its working great.
  15. Thanks for all the input guys, yea the box is sealed and was designed on CAD software. Only reason I ask is my last car, was a ford had two sony 10in subs (only entry level, basic sub) in a custom box I made and designed on CAD and it had a sh*t load more bass than this system. My clarion subs are heaps better than the sony ones, but like people say alot of it is to do with the enclosure. Smicky I think ill give it a go put them back in the normal way and see what it sounds like, to describe what is happening, I have a fair ammount of bass at low volume but as I crank it up the bass starts to fade and the tops take over. I am also thinking of hooking up my head unit, as it has huge amount of sound control features that might make a differance. I didn't install it in the first place as I wanted to keep the stock look to the dash, might have to put up with a head unit being there.
  16. yea I was wondering the same thing, I have a rapid cooler and thought this isn't going to look this good in 10,000ks time. I pull any bugs and sh*t out every week when I clean the car and then clean the end tanks.
  17. are you talking about which way the box is facing? cos I mean not moving the box, my subs are mounted magnet out, and I am thinking about mounting them like normal seeing if it makes any differance, they are design to be mounted either way. thanks for your input mate
  18. Nuh I havn't done anything else to the exhaust just the xforce cat back. which I am very happy with, love the sound of it. Yes the clutch does slip from time to time, some times it hold very well and I can give it a good kick in the ass. But other times it slips to buggery, soon as it slips I just back off dont want to blow the clutch to early. I would recommend you start saving some money for a decent clutch once you have had it tuned, depending on how you drive it, it could last you a while. I am looking at a Mal Wood Option 3 clutch in the next few months.
  19. hey guys, I have got two Clarion PFW1252 12inch subs, in a custom made enclosure. They are reverse mounted, but I was wondering whether they would sound better mounted normally? They are pretty punchy, I have my carputer lineout directly into a Clarion EQ then from that into the AMPs so there is no line converters. Any myths about mounting subs reversed? Just wanted peoples opinons before I went to the effort of changing it all around. thanks
  20. Making some good power, what are the plans for the car from here? Also id be upgrading your fuel pump im pretty sure that power will be pushing the std one to its limits, don't want your engine to be leaning out.
  21. I have been looking around and come across these kits also, not to sure on how much to get it sprayed but fiber glass is a lot more brittle than a plastic bar. All depends on how hard you hit the parking square and what angle it hits it, more than likly the paint will splinter. I always reverse park my car because of those concrete things. Painting a full body kit would be a a bit, im guessing $300 - $500 depending on the paint shop, and if the kit has already been primed.
  22. yea I woudldn't be going to that guy, sounds like he hates his job. I got my tunes done at Pit Lane Performance in Frankston, was a bit of a drive for me but bloody worth it. Top customer service and a lot of knowledge down there. HPF have a very good name also, good luck with it all.
  23. If you mount it in the engine bay don't expect it to last too long, I did this and it got to hot and died. Now the new one is mounted under my dash works fine there.
  24. if you want fluttering you should get your self a rapid high flow kit, you will get a nice spooling sound and heaps of flutter. Ive got a BOV and I still get flutter.
