Hey guys, Thanks for your comments. Took my car to Ford and they update the AIM firmware. All good now!!! Works for all iPods! So now cranking a sweet 32gb iPod Touch! They also updated the PCM. Just a quick thought though... Shouldnt they have done this when I actually paid for a service 3 months ago??? Makes you think about what exactly you are paying for... RussC

Hey All, I am looking at buying an iPod Touch but I tested a 32gb one today in my car (FG XR6T 07/08 build w/prem sound + tech pack) and it plays through the audio but the screens says 'iPod not supported' What iPods are supported so I can see and scroll through songs on the ICC factory screen??? There is a Ford page but it doesnt list any of the new Generation iPods. Is anyone using a 32gb iPod Touch and it comes up on their screen??? Thanks RussC

Turned out the be the tailshaft bearing! replaced 5 days later!

Just noticed mine doing this... By the time I got home it felt like the back tires were spinning when I tried to take off... Wonder how Ford will handle me tomorrow morning being Christmas eve...

Hey Guys, Question is simple... Does a clutch upgrade fix the NCO (disenaging first gear rattle, etc...) with the FG manual? Any of the guys whom have fitted the Mal Wood opt 3 noticed this a difference? Thanks RussC

Not to rub it in to you guys or anything... Got my FG 08 XR6 Turbo insured at $42K with Ammi for $1130 with $650 excess. At the time I was deciding whether or not to go XR5T or XR6T. XR5T was $2300 for my to insure it. Which is why I ended up getting a XR6T cause it was cheaper to run! (I dont pay for petrol) Russ -
I have this same issue in my 08 FG XR6T... Really annoys me cause I spend most of my time with my Radio off and just want to hear that sweet engine!!! Let us know how you go! Russ

Hey, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but with my Premium system when you turn the sound right down or even turn the stero off with screen still on there is a buzzing or an earth feed back noise? I am just finding it abit annoying and was wondering if anyone has this issue and maybe a fix for it? Thanks Russ Forgot to mention it is 08 FG Turbo

Have same issue with my FG XR6 Turbo. Ford service says it is ok the way it is. Just makes my driving sound like I dont know how to use a clutch. Did someone mention that an aftermarket clutch fixed this issue? Russ

Yeah it does. I took it to Ford today and they said the same thing. Big sigh of relief. At least I know it isnt just me!! Thanks Russ

Hey Guys, First time blogger long time reader. I just bought an 2008 FG XR6 Turbo manual. Now it has been 5 years since I have owned a manual car (damn work wagons) and I have been thinking it is my lack of clutching abilities. Basically when I disengage 1st gear it has a sort of a clunking rattling noise as if the gear isnt disenaging properly. Has anyone else had this or similar issues? Thanks Guys Russ
