OHH SHE SINGS ALRIGHT!!!! its a volume control I need breas*s are good no need for adjustment!!!! So , no test drive ??
  3. Grass replied to a post in a topic in Off-Topic
Perhaps you just need a new remote control, so that you can get her singing again.... Perferably one of those with the Plus/ Minus buttons to assist with Breast size control...

I think she looks quiet sweet.... Reminds me of a Melissa I once worked with...... So what State are you in ? So I can work out how much postage will be ? Remember, no matter how good they look somone, somewhere is tired of putting up with their sh*t

I'll take her off your hands for $60.00 on consignment only, whaddya reckon Perhaps you should put her up on E-Bay... I'm sure you'd find plenty of people who would bid on auction.... Might may a hundred +
  8. I am a surveyor and I earn $65,000 a year plus a company car and I got that when I was 22, and I have owned my T for over 1 year now. I also have to take out $4000 a year for HECS, so when that puppy is payed off, I'll get another $70 a week back, and my T only costs me $150 a week and I will own it in 4 years. I'll be married in two, own two carrs in four, and be buying my first house with my future wife witn a combined income of over 120K a year, not that hard really, especially when you have a company car so we can buy one brand spanker (Typhoon) between us! that's assuming I never get a pay rise (including my other half), but we will so it only gets easier LOL! Congratulations. You are doing very well..... I have never met anyone earning that sort of cash that young. I've been around the traps, working since Uni for at least 15year and at present in charge of an IT Dept with 5 employees and I don't even earn that sort of cash now... And as for Overtime... that is very much a thing of the past. No-one in our Firm gets overtime AT ALL.. It is expected.....

Ok, if that's the concept and consensus so be it.... Power = Torque by Revs... If I have a lower gear I get more torque, but not as many revs so power would be pretty constant through all gears, so why does having more or less matter, as long as every gear stays in Torque range... That is the problem with the Skip every second gear theory.. I wouldn't be sitting in the torque curve all the way.... I'll wait and see how much faster they really are and seeing I've already seen an ION 5 Speed auto in a T.. I pretty much know what the answer will be....

\ The old rule used to be if it broke 2000kg it was a light truck....and 2000kg is a VERY heavy sedan. These T's at 1800Kg are becoming a joke. As for Auto's being good off-road... No engine braking ? You find me a Troupie that is Auto..... Or any other SERIOUS 4WD.... Hey JB, I hear you and glad to see it will be used as intended on dirt. I agree, it is so many of the Urban "Private School" brigade that insist on having them and driving them badly way about the speed limit, like sports cars....

No offence, and I'm sure you know what you are on about, but it's just that everyone else seems to disagree with you... Most motoring magazines, who have plenty of engineering nouse behind them, seem to think that economy will improve as well as performance. And yes, it does matter if the revs drop less between each shift... Think about it, gears are a ratio. Gear ratios multiply the torque. If you can have a higher torque value at the rear wheels for the duration of the quarter mile, then you are going to have more force pushing you forward. This also equals a higher average horsepower applied over the quarter mile because the revs are always higher. Which brings me to my next point, when it comes to outright quarter mile times, its horsepower that does the trick... Horsepower is how much torque can be applied over time. Its the work done. So the the higher the average horsepower you can apply to the rear wheels over the entire quarter mile, the lower your ET will be... MPH will improve sightly as well, but your ET will most certainly improve... Its a concept I've only just got my head around, average horsepower applied... But it makes a whooooole lota sense when you see just what the difference that it makes is... What gave me the revelation of this was Pro Stock cars. The don't put out thousands of horsepower like door slammers, but they run similar ETs at less MPH. They have less outright power, but they have 5 or 6 speed's in them, very VERY fast shifting 5-6 speeds (auto's I think, the clutch is only for laucnh.. Not sure, will have to get back on that), and the average applied horsepower (not torque, torque is not as close) over the quarter mile is similar... If just a little less. Meh, I think its a fascinating concept, then again, I love anything that makes power and loud noise.... But you get that Hmm, some interesting points, but ... no You have torque. The torque curve is flat. As long as your gear ratios keep you within the flat torque curve it don't matter if you have 1 or 5 gears. Just look at top fuelers......they run 2 or 3 gears at most..... if there was an advantage, as you are suggesting, then they would run 7,8,9 or 10 speed boxes. Sorry for the "slap stick" but Wannabe Mechanical engineer might be right... I have the bit of paper and the design time with gearboxes and diffs...... Sorry.

The current box only locks up with constant speed and constant throttle position – I.e. cruise control set. I assume by “tighter torque converter” that his will happen more often across a broader rev range in the new box. Trent. This box can do that too, it can unlock the torque converter just long enough to change gear and then lock the convert back through...(I have been in the car while it does it) just gives you a bit of whiplash as it does it..... Ford have just asked for these things to be programmed a certain way for "public acceptance" not for all out shifting speed...
  13. Grass replied to TBO240's topic in FPV & Tickford
Yeah, but what does the torque curve look like. Unless it is flat, like the XR6T's then the gear ratio's make a huge difference. The whole concept behind the CVT is that you tune your engine to run in a very small rev range, say from idle (1000rpm) to 2500rpm. The you can tune the engine to produce LOTS of power and be very very efficient and use the CVT to accelerate the car. Most large combine Harvesters use this theory, as a free reving engine is not effiecent for power production nor for economy....

Not quite, 3:1 = 1/3 = 0.33 4:1 = 1/4 = 0.25 0.25 is lower than 0.33, so 4:1 is lower than 3:1 It's a ratio, not a number. Exactly right - numerically higher means lower ratio. Simple really, and it's always been described that way, well since Adam was in nappies anyway. I really don't think ANY car enthusiast would be confused by this. Just some further info on why this auto will be quicker than the current four speeder - it has convertor lock-up from 1500rpm in EVERY gear, (yes even reverse). So less slip means both more direct AND constant drive to the wheels The BTR 4 Speed can do that, if someone wants to program it. The 4 Speed BTR box was the first of its kind IN THE WORLD...... Complete Electronically controlled for shift quality and shift points... Programed correctly, the 4Speed box is a real magic box
  15. That sounds great!!! GIO surprise me, they wouldn't touch my VP Ute with Stage3 Crow Cam.....
  16. That is a FANTASTIC price. Well Done.. Mine costs me considerable more than that.....
  17. I am curious now, what type of department do you work for not to have to pay FBT ?
  18. $307.69 a week, if you still live at home with your parents then it would not be that hard (I work in hospitality and take home +3 times that a week) sure I am not 19 (23) but I have been doing the same job for 4 years It would probably be easyer for a 19-25 yr old to be able to pay off a T then your average 25+ with a wife, morgage and 2 kids yet nobody (apart from the wife and ATO) go around questioning how they get there money do they? strange that ey I feel sorry for you.. I use to work hospitality and I know all about the enormous hours of overtime / weekend work...
  19. Cheers Guys, Glad to see it. I don't mean to pry or upset anyone, I find it very interesting. I know using the car for work helps a lot.... Utes are the way to go.. they do hold their value well and are class as "Commercial".. helps with Taxman.
  20. No you are right, we probably shoud be worrying about what "Knee Jerk" reaction the Federal government are going to have when these things are second hand enough that ALL P-platers can afford them. Bloody High death toll on our roads then I would expect......
  21. Yeah, But I'm sure you didn't p1ss 50K up against the travel wall when you went first time either...... We must be talking about $1000 / month repayments on a T aren't we even with Ballon repayment at the end? Plus insurance.. Didn't I just see someone say $4k / year ?
  22. Nupe, IT don't pay that well anymore and if your only 19, how could you be qualified to work in IT ? That is a very very short Uni Course and not very long in a TAFE course either.... Takes a LOT of cash to buy an XR6T and seriously, I just do not believe it can be done. If you are earning that sort of money already, perhaps you should be buying a house instead...

I wait for proof in the pudding. I know my physics, I know pretty much how gearbox and Diff design work (I qon't admit that I'm partially responsible for the 4speeds you guys have, cause I don't want to get flamed) , but it doesn't matter how far the revs drop as long as you stay within the Torque curve, which we have from 2500-4000, so the only advantage will be the quicker shifting and hopefully the removal of the torque tagging.... And Auto's don't need to drop the revs to pick up the next gear, that's that the torque converter is for.. And as for running a tighter torque converter ? Is there such a thing ? The 4Speeds have a lockup torque converter, so you aren't going to get any better economy out of an Auto that you are now... Remember, it still takes a lot of valuable engine horsepower to run the pumps and push that oil.....
  24. Grass replied to JB's topic in Off-Topic
Sorry JB, But I HATE URBAN ASSAULT Vehicles. Does it ever intend to see dirt ? Personally, I think its time the governments of the day put these things back into their correct class, rather than making exceptions. When it is all said and done they should be registered and treated as a Light Truck.. which is what they are..... They have no place on city or suburban roads, the only excuse for them is if they are going to be used as 4WD on the dirt.... and you DON'T use Auto's for 4WDing in the dirt..
  25. Did anyone see the bucket of London Town water one guy was auctioning ?
