Diff has gotten really clunky and rattley.... when launching hard and coming to a stop, on idle it makes a bad vibration/clunking sort of noise from the back (more the left hand side), then I cruise and its all gone.... Its really got me stuffed! on the hoist both wheels dont spin at the same time when one tyre is rotated. cars engine is modified, suspension is herrords kit, any suggestions or advice? thanks allot
  2. My whole car has been from brakes to suspension has been carried out by "Centreline Suspension" in Thomastown Been dealing with Chris for years, has a very big reputation and will give you honest straight out advise. His alignments have been spot on, and are done differently to other shops out there. goodluck

Exactly what andrew just mentioned... -Check Xcal 3 for any error codes -Ring tuner and tell him what codes are, he can them maybe tell you some troubleshooting stuff if possible. -take car there and put back on dyno. goodluck mate hope it all works out, I had it happen to me once, very cold night I was booting it around, it overboosted and engine light come on!!, plugged my xcal 3 in, cleared all error codes and has never done it since. cheers

  8. Andrew try calder on a winters night, deflate your rear tyres down and you should be fine. I managed a 12.23 @ 116mph (2.1 60ft) with 308 rwkw in my FGT ute at Calder. Going to be trying street radials next when this weather calms down a little!!
  9. Good luck Dre, hope it all works out for you mate. cheers
  10. My car will be ready by the end of the week, is going to a place in Thomastown names "AUTOIMAGE". Have seen some of their work and is fantastic! im getting a full GTP trim in my FG Xr6t. will post some pics up when complete.

  12. I have the exact same problem in my FG XR6t ute!!!! ive spend nearly $3000 on a sound system, consisting of : Rockford fosgate Power series amps Rockford fosgate P2 sub Rockford fosgate 3sixty MB quart reference series splits Good quality wiring, and installed by a well know shop here in melbourne... and have that sh*tting hissing noise!! ive been putting up with it but would love and pay anything to fix it and retain the factory look.. my installer said to me its very common with these models, the factory ICC unit just isnt up to scratch. please if any one has suggestions bring them forward. Cheers
  13. Calder park 24/07/10 managed to do a best of 12.360 @ 115.9mph (60ft was 2.1) on my Dunlop sport max TT street tyres. FG xr6t with 310rwkw. pretty happy with that considering I drove to the track and back home. )
  14. hey there mate..

    cheers

  15. thanks for the better pictures... Looks great! how has it been performing in the hot conditions?? does the power stay on more consistant? cheers
  16. Get a custom flash tune and tell your mechanic to raise the idle to 650 Ford will keep telling you "there waiting on a fix" ... if the noise is really concerning you, I think its your best bet. cheers
  17. My injectors are drilled out on my FG Xr6t, im very happy and havent had any dramas at all. Idle and coldstarts are good. As RAPID mentioned go with what your tuner reccomends, that's the path I went down.. cheers
  18. thanks heaps wagnman for the pics mate looks great dude. try and take pics out of the sun though if you can. at least we get the idea now. I have to get one of these!!! cheers
  19. My Fg turbo ute was doing the exact same thing, dealer said the same thing every time it went into service "were waiting for a fix"... I told them to just jack the idle up a little, but they didnt want to do it... now car is never going back to FRAUD!! I have a Bluepower Custom tune on the car now, they raised the idle up to .650 no more vibrations and the car drives like a dream! good luck guys, hope Ford dealership pull there fingers out..
  20. car looks fantastic!!! hows she look with with the plazmaman cooler?? cheers
  21. Well done wagnman!!! you must be stoked. good to hear all went well dude. Please get some pictures up as soon as you can. ) cheers mate
  22. I have a FG xr6 turbo ute, have had my whole sound system overhauled by GL PRO SOUND in melbourne. I have gone very quality gear such as Rockwood Fosgate P2 sub, 360.1 sound processor, T6004 4 channel amp, 6.5inch MBquart Reference splits in doors, quality wiring.... and still have that sh*tty hissing noise when music is turned down, even when I put a cd in I can hear it reading the tracks if that makes sence. They said to me they have tried everything, and have contacted Rockwood Fosgate who supplied the 360.1 digital proccesor and they just said that the Factory ICC must be starving and is no good. If anybody or any car audio workshop has a fix please let me know how to fix or ill pay you to fix it!! Its annoying because you pay top dollar to kick ass gear, to get this mothy sh*t hissing noise! that's my rant... cheers guys
  23. no worries wagnman sounds good dude. hope it all works out for you. cheers
  24. hiro how did you go with those pics of it on the car?? cheers bud
  25. Look forward to seeing pictures, thanks allot guys. I have no doubt that these coolers should perform well, be interesting how it goes with the smaller turbos on the xr6/g6et's. Thanks again.
