I do not see how painting your calipers is try hard, it makes the car look a bit sportier and gives you something to do on a boring w.e. brembo covers are gay. so are painted dust covers. so are DISTASTEFUL fpv badging.

anyone heard about the liquid clay bar? is it decent or what? I have only heard bad things :S

DjGsTa - I was in a mates silver VE with black 20"s chrome lipped R-SPEC...theres a speed limit on the hwy? what those numbers with the red circle around them? I thought they tell you the age limit for the road? nah but seriously for all police reading, we seriously did not engage in any forbidden activites on the road....seriously.

how can you tell that its not just a standard air box that he just cut a hole in to fit the f6 intake? as for those cords... check underneath/behind the fuse box (where your pedals are) and see if the white 3-pin and the blue 5-pin connectors (I think I got them the right way around) are attached to something...that's where the ford ipod cord is meant to connect to. they may have re routed the cord to the passenger side because it was too hard to get it where ford wanted them to put it, which was the tissue box holder...that's what I did but I wouldnt have put it on the passenger side though or press the AM or FM (mines allways on AUX so I forgot) a couple times and see if the AUX comes up hope that was a help

that's what I was thinking but would the transmission and everything need strenghtening or is it the same stuff my car has the factory fitted lsd im pretty sure but would that even make a difference?

sorry I am a tiny bit of a newbie but I do have a bit of knowledge of xr6's from scanning the forums and just talking to my mates day and night about cars (xr's in particular) Ok, now there probably is another thread out for this but none seem to totally sum up everything needed for this conversion. now I know a few people have done this and I personally know one person who has done this to his ba xr but we have had a fall out and cease to speak xr6 turbo engines are always popping up on ebay for peanuts (like 2-3g's) but if I was to actually buy one, could I have an actuall list of anything else I would/might need I know about the flaming of n/a kids saying they are going to bolt on aftermarket turbos and the turbo kids sayin they are stupid and should just buy a whole xr6t but it seemed relatively easy for my mate to do to his n/a and he's pulling 250 at the wheels easy, so given I know the history of my car (my dad bought it at new) I would think this was the 2nd best step to getting a T rather than buying someone elses 2nd hand not knowing where it has been so what I really would like to know is what do I really need AND is it THAT much easier just to buy a T because if that's the case, id rather supercharge

its real scary when something happens like this... something similar happened to me when I was driving my old 5series bmw while it was raining, this taxi comes from behind me speeding, goes into oncomming traffic (the road was empty) and gets back into the propper lane but loses it and starts spinning, takes out a tree, traffic pole and ends in a wooden electricity pole. the engine had flown out of the car at least 50m ahead. It actually looked like something from a movie

sorry guys, I have seen a few black XR's (but with the stock 17's) painted matt black and I think it looks tops, a bit jap but looks nice and I think FOR6D (something like that, a mercury xr8) has his XR8's painted a gloss black that also looks quite good too my 5c

not I big fan of painting the back of the pads, it looks better when its broken up a bit instead of just a clump of red behind the wheel. it takes 2secs just to scrunch up some news paper and stick it there by the way....who has painted the WHOLE caliper part as in those side bits included instead of just the middle part of the caliper/brake I was a bit scared to paint it because I didnt know what they do or if I COULD do it YIANZ

someone correct me if I am wrong...but this is what I think you have done the front springs you have bought are the Kings LOWs which the stock XR height (approximately) is so when they actually end up settling you will end up with the same ride height that you had just before you put your new kings in the front
