yeah its the second sensor that's turned which makes me think its maybe a dodgy first sensor.. umm I take it to melbs to nick the wog used to be xtc performance but think he changed the name now but yeah no one really does it in the shepp area

Hi all, got a bf and I upgraded the exhaust, including a high flow cat. Engine light came on which I expected but was no big deal as I got a custom tune soon after. Anywho, was all sweet after the tune until a few days later when the light came back on, threw it on a diagnostic machine and the code said it was the oxygen sensors. Called my tuner and he double checked the tune file and made sure he turned the secondary sensor off. So... was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Gonna take it back to the tuner obviously but was just wondering if there is a quick fix to this? Back when the car was stock I used to get the light come up occasionally so im thinking it could be the front oxygen sensor. Anyway as youd expect with the engine light on it runs like a tractor so any help would be appreciated! Cheers guys

I managed 193rwkw out of my n/a bf with the usuals..

mucked about with my mate and turns it out its a blocked or dodgy injector. . possibly bad batch of fuel or something stupid but yeah gave her a guzzle of injector cleaner and it seems to be getting quieter so guess that's the problem . . relief in one way but having an excuse to cam it was so tempting haha

thanks for the replys guys, think im guna go with crow cams, only problem is I tried to give them a call today to see what theyd recomend and of course they're shut for christmas so I doubt il be able to get it in til after new years now.. certainly picked a good time to do it haha

so I get home from work last night to hear the the dirtiest ticking noise coming from the head of my bf xr6 when it idols so I tried this morning and it was there but not as loud so the hotter the engine the louder the noise gave my mate a call whos a technician at ford and he seems to think it might be a damaged lifter but until he comes over and sees and hears it for himself he cant guarantee that that's the problem. if it is though where gunna pull her apart as soon as possible and replace the lifters but I thought while weve got it apart I might as well replace the cams and lifters for performance ones. . ive looked at crow cams options and will give them a call to see what they think the best option cam is but anyway was just wonderin if anyones cammed their n/a 6 and what gear they used and what people would reccomend. . any help would be much appreciated thanks guys

cheers smicky and everyone else for your help bit off topic but has anyone had their boot insulated with dynamat or something similar to stop boot rattle from subs? thinking of getting it done just wanted to know if it was worth it and how much it cost

cranked the subs and pretty sure its the actual glass. so your saying to put the silicone/cardboard etc like in the small space in between the glass and the rim of the frame?

yeah my windscreen had just been replaced when I bought the car bout 6 months ago and its really only been recently that its made noise. . so if it falls off will I have to get it proffesionally re fitted or can I just take it off and re fit myself? id say its the actual mirror cos it sounds like something jumping around but hmmm

hey all, im running a couple 1200w pioneer subs in my car, love it cept for one problem. my rear view mirror rattles like prik, not only does it make me not be able too see outa it but it makes a horrible rattling sound that annoys the *beep* outa me any ideas on how to fix it cos im sure a fair few people would have the same problem. cheers guys

my N/A BF xr6 used to be in the high 11's in fuel and I drive it pretty hard but since getting a ss induction growler on it its gone up to low 12's/100 . . . but that's not from the induction itself its due to me also being 18 and floggin it so the induction roar gets nice and loud ahahha if your worried about consumption look at something small like a k&n replacement panel filter. . no major improvement but hey every little bit helps I guess

just got my car serviced at a non ford dealer for the first time. I brang it too the local mechanic he did all the usual etc but had to upgrade to stronger coolants as he thought the one ford put in was way to weak. and then he tells me while he was checking the brakes he found that one wasn't even on properly! the only other people who touched my car was ford service. gos to show how much brains ford service have. havent got half a clue about cars that they're sposed to be ''specialists'' in

thanks for the replys guys, I have a 6 speed auto SubJimbo and like the 4490's as they're more bottom end oriented. Yeah that's true mate but I still have my CAI that sticks out like dogs balls as well haha. I should be alright as long as I dont get any cops attention from the start hence not wanting a real loud note. would there be much difference in the turbo exhaust compared to an aftermarket one? any brands or certain models in particular you would reccomend for the cats? As far as labour costs go for it all is it a straightforward install or will it be time consuming? cheers guys

pretty keen on the pacemaker 4490 headers, but have no idea about what exhaust and cat I should get? keeping in mind im only 18 so I dont want something too loud as I dont want any attention from the boys in blue. . . So yeah if anyone has any ideas on what to get that wont be too loud but give some good performance figures keeping in mind il be getting a custom tune in future . . thanks all
