just got back form my painter about 30 mins ago and its not ready!! so im spewing!!! was really looking forward to my first xr6turbo forum cruise and was even going to take it on the holden/ford charity cruise tomorrow. So, sorry, wont be there, definetly nexttime, and I know it seems like theyre few and far between but hopefully there will be another soon seeing as its still a warm part of the year and its great to get out and cruise!!!!! Ill be there in spirit, cantw ait to see some pics posted up!! Sorry again, and sorry to me coz I was sooo looking forward to it!! Alex.

OK, managed to cover the end up with a cap that's off of like an RP7 can (or similar) not a complete job, but its good enough for the moment as its going down to get some paint and bits done tomorrow... it actually fits on there very well so see how I go when I get it back... will try find a better plug! Noone would happen to have any of those bolts that hold down the crossover would they ? Ill probably just get some other to fit it but naturally would be nicer to have something like standard! The lid of an aerosol can sounds terrible I know, but at this second, its doing teh job and if it saves harm in the meantime well then its done a great job!

There is Statutory Write off - Cannot be re-registered ever Repairable write off - can be if inspected and past after being repaired Economic write off - same needed to re register as repairable but damage is very minor (I think) So officially economic write offs go under the title of repairable write off... but mines an economic one... so no, VERY FAR from rebirthing!!!! thanks everyone! The car is actually an economic write off thanks to an insurance company... so yeah, just gotta finsih things off and tidy it up so she can pass... will have to lose the tint... unless someone in adelaide wants to sell the the doors glass from their ba or au that I could get fitted then replace after!! ill have to get some from of baffles or muffler just to get it passed too as its too loud im sure!

so youve got the top whole blocked off and the bov attached to the bottom one? (does that make sense) ...mine has the bottom blocked off and the top open... im guessing now that the last owner nicked the bov off it and just left it? but the strange thing is it makes one hell of a bov type noise though... would it still do that if theres no bov anywhere? and what will happen if I block off that top one making both those wholes blocked? thanks all for your advise, trying to understand the whole concept before jumping in and ruinings something.

hey senna thanks for that... was just reading some of the other bov threads... so what youre saying is there is no Blow off valve at all? Is that "legal"? The bottome pipe on the photo is blocked off (in the end of that bit of hose) is that related? Sorry, trying not to sound too stupid! Just dont know anything about turbos and bov's etc! Hmm... so at this stage teh sugegstion is to block off that top fitting, but eventually getting a bov on it?

Hi all, I have a bit of a question here... where the heck is my BOV!? I bought my xr6T as it is, and it does make a very loub BOV sound when its meant to but I dont know where it is... please see the photo below and any help/suggestions would be helpful... It resonates through the exhaust well and sounds great so there must be one somewhere? Reason I ask is im concerned that this setup is a bit dodgy??? and also I have to get the car inspected soon so if I find out if its obvious or not then I may or may not have to remove it. ...or its not dodgy and is a top setup!? can someone please explain to me why it would be this way Alex.

After studying that sort of area, have come accross this (well have noticed before, but never paid any attention) Any clues as to whats going on here?? Also, the injectors are blue... stock or upgrade?? Thankyou all for your help... slowly learning!

I liked it, great job with making everything 70s-esque! Great to see all the cars hehe, only faults I reckon is the HZ statesman was a couple years too new? and I dont reckon the cops would have a premier! But, loved the first series and im sure this will gather momentum!
