  1. lol I'll pay to see that
  2. back in your box lemming!
  3. I consider cultured people those who can structure sentences using correct grammar!
  4. What actually happens when the track is wet by natural water it actually brings all the diesel out the concrete and makes the track ultra slippery. You guys are gonna have some slip sliding fun /tries to figure out a way to mount umbrella to tripod! There is an undercover area there that is pretty good... hopefully the weather will clear enough to get some good shots... I'll make sure I get around somewhere And before Scotty comments on my wrong directions - I know I have to turn off Beenleigh Redland Bay road, onto Mt Cotton Road to get to the pan. I know where I'm going - I might be from the coast, but what incentive do I have to head up to the Logan Bogan dome?! duh! I think I'll stay on the Coast where people are cultured.
  5. You have obviously never been to Mt Cotton from the Coast in your life, God you Coast dwellers better pray that Ianism turns up, better fill up Friday night in case he doesn't I meant beenleigh-redland bay road, nice pick-up cock smoker! always the smart arse aren't you! I know where I'm going even If I can't portray it in words on a forum
  6. Arrive at Movieworld 6:30am leave at 6:50am... no exceptions!! Taking into account the roadworks and 40 zones along clevend-redland bay road I think that'll leave us ample time to get there! Ian has volunteered to lead the way, if he doesn't show up, myself or Robsta are also familiar with the route. be seeing you all bright and early...
  7. Guys that are coming and planning on leaving mid way - might want to check to ensure that you can actually get out. As I said, they shut the gates, and I remember seeing some Australia post trucks that had been at the LVMA stuck waiting for a while until another course finished before they were let out.
  8. Hey Al.. Just remember this place shuts their gates and can only be opened by instructors so arriving half an hour early could be a pointless exercise and result in people just standing around for 30 minutes. I think the powers that be should make the call to what time the group need be there Also I did the trip on the weekend and it is pretty much 30 minutes from helensvale... so I'm keen either way. But Al, as your nearly always late, perhaps you should set yourself a goal of being at movie world at 6:30am to arrive late at 7am
  9. and I'll be there snapping... I've got great vantage points picked out from last weekends sessions with the wrx club
  10. need daytime pics slackarse. it looks like one is slightly longer then the other... I don't like that if it's the case.. makes it look like the late 90's model fairlanes (lame) and a bit unco like the guy putting them on couldn't line em up properly no offense.
  11. might be re-becomming a wa*ker soon mate
  12. haha.. Scotty your funny... it was the QLD wrx club skid pan day afterall
  13. it's great fun that's for sure
  14. Having witnessed a full days action at the skid pan (see chit chat thread: teaser for QLD members going to skid pan) I would suggest those who are partial to heavy foot syndrone (HFS) that swapping to skid rims would be desired. As tyre wear maybe minimal in the wet, sliding out of the wet onto the bitumen with wet tyres causes even all wheel drives to spark all four wheels! so take heed sailors

Olympus have just released a digital SLR with a active veiwfinder on the back of it there is a review on dpreview.com it looks like a nice camera... and the way technology is going it makes sense not to use conventional veiwfinders to take the shots when the flip out screens make for some great perspectives

I actually grew up with Minolta..., but they didn't make a good digital SLR, so I went Canon's way... and having owned the 300D, 20D and tried the 350d the next step was going to be another Canon and the 5D was what I wanted with the features of a full frame 35mm sensor and 1:1 ratio with my lenses.. which make for great landscapes I've used some nikon gear (mainly film ones) and I just never got a feel for it, particularly the thier lenses aren't as sharp as canons and I really like the canon images and sharpness. but like you said it's what you get used to and I'm a canon man (until I can afford my 40k Hassleblad)
  17. Hey Guys, going to have to pull out of the dinner at this point. Friday is shaping up to be a work night for me! Matt
