thanks fella's I have slicks and front runners ready to go, dont laugh if you see it at eastern creek I have to raise the rear to fit the 26x10" slicks so it will be jacked up at the rear and a small ding in the rear which is getting fixed soon (dont let your missus drive your car boys!) lol. Yeah losing a good 20-30rwkw they reckon, just came back from a drive from a standing start not stalling it up just punching it blazed my 245/35/20 tyres for a good 250+ meters easy thru all 3 gears. My dad is had to impress (hot rod builder) he was with me when I did it and he couldnt believe it hahahaha the look on his face was priceless Next thing on the list a Fully built engine, 6boost manifold and a dirty big f*ck off turbo= 450-500rwkw!

yeah that's what CV said the box and converter suck a far bit of power, I use to own a Turbo 13b RX3 that made 420hp at the wheels and I reckon the falcon is heaps quicker off the line it has just blown me away I reckon on stock rims it would fry them for a good 300 meters easy!

Just had my car dynoed and made 338.7kw and man does it fly! Just finish these mods on the car. Little update: Ordered Rapid Systems 4.5 gets installed on thursday, friday then she is off to C&V on saturday to be tuned pumped as a mofo cant wait!

Was looking for some number plates the other night for my car and found these were available, you know when you see a mad car and go FARK OFF. I ended up snapping them up FRK-00F lol had me and a mate in stitches only $90 a year

I got the box and converter from a guy in Penrith. He has done a few gearboxes for my parents hot rods over the past few years and they never missed a beat. B&M shifter from Rocket everything else me and my old man made ourselves including the gearbox crossmember.

Ok I ordered a C4 for a BA turbo motor so it came ready to bolt in. Came with a converter and that cost me just under $5000, bolts straight into your tailshaft the only thing I had to make was a gearbox crossmember. Also required a lokar dipstick, a B&M shifter, the only mods to the interior was I had to notch the plastic cover around the old gearstick to make it fit I will take some photo's and upload them soon. All up owe's me about $5500 and the best money I ever spent. Cheers Brent

After a good 3 months on and off finally had the chance to take my car for a drive. Got it running last Saturday but took it for a good drive tonight, and man am I stoked! I ended up with a full billit internals and servo with 3500rpm TCE stall in it and its like a rocket off the line now and I still haven't got it tuned yet. Was making 311kw@w before but I have changed the exhaust also adding process west/plazmaman plenum kit (still unsure which one yet) then she will be tuned. Will keep you guys posted of results and how the box is once it is tuned. Cheers Brent

Hey fella's just wondering if anybody has some photo's of there center console, with there shifter set up for a C4 in there XR6's. Was just wondering if I can retain the cup holders or if the shifter has to go back in to that space (Shifter is a B&M ProStick). Cheers Brent

It's setting me back $4900 at mate's rate's (Brothers mate own's a Gearbox place) usually about $8000 that's not installed. I can't remember what it's called but he built my brother a tough T400 for his drag car.

After pulling my box out and inspecting it (its cactus), I desided not to waste my money on a strengthened 4 speed and just ordered a full house C4 1200hp box, 3500 grand tce stall, man valve body, all billet internals. Once installed time for a new exhaust and re-tune should be 350+kw@w then we will hit the 1/4 mile. Will keep you updated on progress and how it feels to drive Cheers Brent

huh pulled the box out yesterday and there were no bolts let in the flex plate at all! long story short cracked oil pump and the box gets stripped tomorrow to see the full damage list

My bolts came loose on my flex plate, I need a new one is there an aftermarket one or just factory one from ford? Car is an 03 XR6 Turbo any tips would be greatly appreciated

Yeah the article said E85 burns quicker than 98ron but is 5-10c cheaper than 98, I am pretty sure it's ron rating is around 110 which is avgas territory!!!

Bought the lastest Street Machine Ford edition and there is an article on the best fuel for your XR6t. They did 4 different tunes on the dyno with the following results, not sure of the mods done to the test vehicle but here are the following results. 98 Premium Unleaded = 298kw@w 98+E10 Premium Unleaded = 330kw@w E85 = 350+kw@w My question is where in Sydney are the 98+E10 and E85 available??? Hey guy's looking at my gearbox now it's a 4 spd auto tossing up whether to spend money on it, or get a big hp C4 for the future eventually I want to make about 450kw@w. I am making 315kw@w now but I am about to change my exhaust and go to 330-340kw@w, I want to do everything once and not f*ck around with the factory 4 spd. Would appreciate some of your experience and opinions on the pros/cons of this. Cheers Brent

Where did you get your box done?

Hey guy, In the process of building my quick street car was just wondering what the best option for my gearbox is. I have stock 4spd Auto is it worth spending money on that or would it be better in the long run to get a prep'd C4????
