If I were you I would be taking it to a guy who knows how to do them correctly, I wouldn't want my T being the first one he has done.

They definitely need to bring out the GTHO, and not limit its power output like the poor old GT and Typhoon, at least let it have a decent run against the HSV models.

Surely with the MKII just a few months back they won't be doing another upgrade so soon, will they? It would sure make the MKII model devalue a bit quick.
  4. Nick Let us know when you are out at QLD raceway and we can organise a cruise out there for the day, be nice seeing a bunch of supporting XR6Ts beside the track. I don't mind lending a hand if you need a pit crew........or perhaps a spare driver hint hint
  5. Nick Welcome to the site, and good luck for the weekend. Let us know how you did as SBS usually don't telecast the races for a week or 2.

  7. It is on this weekend Saturday 26th. I mentioned the idea of cruising out there a few weeks ago and people seemed interested, however there have been a few things happen since so I guess people have forgotten. I will be heading out to Yatala from Cleveland on Saturday so if anyone is heading out from that side of town I might see ya on the highway somewhere.

The normal posted speed should be less than the amount you can lose a license by really. It is unfair for a 40 school zone to be placed in a 70 zone in your case or an 80 zone in QLD (QLD you have to be 40km/h or more over to lose license). What is to stop the police from sitting at a zone 5 minutes before or after the zone time and having their clock set fast or slow. I know my clock is not set at 100% accurate GMT+10 time and so if you were to get caught at the start or end of the time limit you could think you are doing the posted limit ie 70 or 80 and not speeding at all and by their time be during the 40 zone and be over by 30 or 40 and therefore lose your license. Fair enough if you are caught over the posted limit you are a gonna, but to be doing the limit during normal times and be over the limit enough to lose your license during school times is just straight out UNFAIR.

Sounds like its not as clear as up here in QLD. Our school zones are specifically for school days only not holidays or public holidays, and are for certain hours in the morning and afternoon, usually 7.30-9.00 and 2.30-3.30. This is irrelevant of flags, crossing guards or even the presence of kids. It is 40km/h for the stated times only and back to the posted limit outside of the school times. Sorry to hear your loss. I also think it is a bit rough for the government to change the law without informing people. They did this up in QLD recently with regards to leaving your car unlocked etc and other stupid rules. They expect people to read newspapers or watch Tv for the rule updates. In my opinion every licence holder should be sent by mail a full list of the new rules each time they change them, for example, I am sure there are some people who have had licenses for 50+ years that never had roundabouts in their day and still do not know how to use them and have never been told.
  10. Got sent this from a mate, thought it was amusing. Hope this aint against any rules apologies if it is. Otherwise enjoy.

Found this elswhere..........I personally think a Turbo Territory would be a better move for FORD or FPV. "Ford Australia are dismembering the only Jaguar S Type Diesel in the country, to take a good look at the motor for the Territory. 2,720cc twin-turbo V6 diesel engine: 153kW (206bhp) at 4,000 rpm; 435Nm (320 lb ft) torque at 1,900 rpm. It comes from the Ford-PSA-Peugeot-Citroen alliance. Jaguar have developed and fine tuned it. Rated at 207 PS, the output of the 2.7-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine exceeds that of the company's 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine; and the torque output of 435 Nm exceeds that of its 4.2-litre V8 engine by some six per cent."

Saw this while down the shop getting lunch. Looks quote neatly done, apologies for the pic quality take on the mobile.
  13. I know that Ocean Ford Noosa has a shockwave Typhoon demo and they said they have to keep it for 3 months as a demonstrator.
  14. I am also flying down from QLD for the 4 day festivities so wouldn't mind catching up and checking out a few of the VIC members cars

And the options just keep coming, at least they don't have a policy of 'any colour as long as its...........' If you have the money you can have any colour you want Colours to sample, enable customers to specify any exterior colour they may wish, lead time at least 6 months $9,690 I reckon if you added all the options available you might end up spending twice the cost of the base model.

Came across this information in the options section of the price list for the Porsche Boxster You would hope you never had brake shudder for the price Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) Ceramic brakes, carbon-fibre reinforced ceramic brake discs, internally vented and cross-drilled, disc diameter front and rear 350 mm, 6-piston brake callipers on FA and 4-piston brake callipers on RA, brake callipers painted yellow $18,990
  17. Yeah I gotta agree that people love hogging the right hand lane here in QLD to drive well below the speed limit. It seems on the 4 lane sections of the M1 that the right hand lane is for the slow traffic whilst noone will dare drive in the far left lane (usually the slowest) which I find makes my trip a lot better if I stick in that
  18. It would have hurt enough just falling on the road let alone getting cleaned up by that other car bet he thinks twice before not putting his seat belt on next time he gets in a car
  19. Insurance only covers the cost of rebuilding the house not the land cost as well, so it is quite easy for $250k to cover the average family home.
  20. She is in this months Ralph mag.

I'm probably going to get Asian, North American and Canadian maps soon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lucky its a portable unit then or that's one hell of a bloody drive in the T
  22. That is one nice looking BA and also showing some impressive power not that it says if its 375 rwkw or at the motor.
  23. Correct, regions will have an effect on what discs you can play on it. Being shipped from the US it is most likely a region 1 player. At worst you could copy all of your dvds to be region free or else buy only region 1 discs. Might be worth contacting the reseller first. btw Australia is region 4
  24. There are some old posts on the 5501 interface try doing a search, if I recall correctly it does work in Aust but more importantly its NTSC which is what the ICC screen requires.
  25. I have my tyres rotated and balanced every 7,500km as I have a lot of roundabouts to encounter in Noosa, got 22000 on them so far and not much sign of wear at all. Did the same deal with the EL I had before and I got close to 60000 on one set of tyres. Just gotta swap them around a bit to even out any wear that might be caused by sprited driving and especially the front left tyre courtesy of the roundabouts.
