Nice Photo. Good to see someone carrying on the burnout tradition in my absence. Going to Melbourne this week, & hopefully racing my GTR at Calder on Friday night. Might even make it back for the test & tune on at AIR on Sunday 4th. Apparently they are fully preparing the track (both lanes) so the comp guys can get some traction, so if you have been having trouble hooking up out there lately this could be the best chance to get your 60' time & beat your PB. Starts at 10am so plenty of time to make late afternoon Fathers day barbies afterwards! (or just invite them out for some fun)

Spewin. Just got my licence back & all. Cant come. Family shindig happening - will keep eye out for next one. BTW - drove a Typhoon today - bloody nice thing to drive.
-
I could be in that.

My 11.9 run in the ute was on 19th Feb this year with a 2.03 60ft time. Was pulling mid 12's back in April 2004. Not planning any more mods at this stage - maybe just stickier tyres.
-
Wow. that's cool. Looks like the 12 second club is growing in Adelaide. Sorry I couldn't make it - you probably all past me on your way home, (I was working at the caravan yard on Port Wakefield Road on the way back to town) Will be back on the streets by the end of the month.Yay.

Hey strangers - long time no see. Been workin like a dawg & now only 6 weeks till let off the licence chain gang. Ute has flat battery & still out of rego waiting patiently in the shed. Rear tyres wont know what hit em after such a long vacation from my right foot!!! will be in Surfers on 7th aug, but will hopefully catch up with you guys shortly after that. So whats happening? Has anyone been out there & beat my 11.9 yet? Went for a ride in Bruce's wagon recently - that thing should be locked up - or registered as a secret weapon!
-
Sounds like fun, I might be able to get out there. Are any of you guys going to the Flash tuner demo night at KPM motorsport on Wed night (the 6th) ?
-
I agree that there is always room for improvement with any product. But in this case, the improvement will come with how it is used, not the actual edit itself. I think the edit is brilliant because it finally gives the tuner full scope to actually do what he wants. Fitting it to my ute was a last minute idea ( was done 3 hours before the meeting ) & I wasn't chasing more power - just a clean idle, & a nicer torque curve. For the small amount of tuning done I am wrapped with the result. The car starts instantly, idles smoothly, changes gears cleaner, & just generally feels much happier to suck fuel & air in & pump it out the back mixed with tyre smoke!!! Of course, I was pleased to creep it into the 11s, but even though I agree with Martin about the potential of this ute, I would rather leave it as it is - It is supposed to be the tow car for my race car which is being neglected. Next time the ute is at the track, hopefully it will be towing my GTR. Running high 11s is fun & all, but I'd rather be driving the ute on the street & running 9s in the Skyline. As far as bruce's car goes - holy sheeet. I LOVE it. That thing is awesome fun to cruise in. My auto might be a bit faster down the strip for now, but I know witch one I'd rather be driving around the rest of the time!!!

Mine only lastest about 7000 kms with 280 rwkw, I was racing it a fair bit though & doing heaps of 2nd gear 6000rpm burnouts everywhere. As you do. Anyway, I got it built with kevlar clutches, modified valve body, etc,etc slightly higher stall. Have done about 8000 kms with new trans & 335 rwkw, & it is still perfect ( ran 11.9 last night, still do heaps of sick burnouts, & have never had a trans cooler on it) Now, with the new edit, it changes even better.
-
Well that was awesome. Great to see all you guys out there, was a really good night - the XR6 Turbos took over the joint. Lets do it again soon.
-
still making 335 rwkw, but much cleaner now with the edit done. The master dealer/tuner in SA is KPM Motorsport www.kpmauto.com

Yep. Very happy with mine. Nice to cut that 11.9 last night. Still got a bit of sorting out to do with the launch though. Best 60' last night was 2.0 (on the 11 second run). Big thanks to Simon(Nizpro), Bruce(badxr6),Martin(street Tuner), & Dave at KPM Motorsport for all helping me get the ute to this stage. The best thing was seeing so many other Ts out there racing.
-
Yep. I comin. will bring hay hauler. GTR still havin issues.
-
Yep. Me too.
-
I will be there every night...just to make sure....... hmmmmm better lay off the black label...haha
-
Dang, will have to get my projector screen hooked up to put that photo on my desktop..............hahahahahaha.........ha........ha Will have your spare back next week.....got some cheap ass nankangs coming for rear end duty. Have learnt my lesson...... if your going to smoke regularly then you cant afford quality...haha. These stockies are a bloody joke.

Should last me for a few days, thanks for that mate!!!
-
Ha Ha, was wondering why my ute suddenly had 4 doors??? Great turnout. ah - if there are no visible plates then videos fine.
-
Awesome, you guys have heaps of racers over there. Not many Ts coming out in Adelaide yet. I beat my 12.6 recently with a 12.1, & my best mph of 115 with a 120. still not happy with 1.99 60' times. Being a ute with the heavy hard cover/spoiler might be holding me back. It's great fun though - wish we had more Ts keen to race here.
-
I have been for cruises in BADXR6 & it is a weapon. Manual XRTs are pretty crazy with this much power, wouldn't mind a drive of it one day?
-
Ha - that burnout was ages ago _ I remember that one ( on a victor cruise) on my 3rd set of rears since those ones!! Yep - I took the ute out last Sat, it was a very busy night. Only got 3 runs. Did a 12.3, a wheelspinning 12.7 @ 120, & a 12.1 @ 119.69. Very happy with the ute(it is currently making 345 rwkw) The modified trans is just great. See you all on the cruise coming up soon.
-
I might be able to make it.
-
Hey all u guys, Happy new year. May your cruising be plentiful, & your speeding be unimpeded by the local law enforcement. I hereby propose a new traffic law - if under the influence of forced induction, all local speed limits may be increased by multiplying the amount of boost by the amount of dickheads that cant even do the speed limit & rounding up to the nearest 10. Hmmm. could work. Oh well.
-
Well what can you say - that's awesome. For me, I'd rather have a tin shed & be able to actually put some cars in it. I spose I can dream though!
-
SPEWIN. I cant come along as I have to work. Oh well, I'm sure I will read all the figures on here after the day is over! Have a great day everyone, I will catch up on the next cruise hopefully.
