I fitted the polyair bags initially, But the right side bag stopped holding pressure after about 15,000kms, This was put down to mainly the fact it sits so close to the exhaust and how close it was since my ute was lowered. I swapped to the bellow bags by Firestone which are from Pedders, and the ute is sweet as, I have towed my boat (2.3 ish ton, its really borderline for legality) with my CBR in the back of the ute and it rides nicely. I got it for $1,000 installed from Pedders Gateshead. He could also cut me a deal for an on board compressor if I wanted but I decided to test it out first. If you don't want to call Pedders I could prolly ring up and find out myself. But they only sell one kit for lowered utes in the bellow style so you can't go wrong. Makes a hell of a difference though

Oh that sux, I will have to try and make one!, So that means all the hard lids fitted from now on to BA BF's will be warping and not sitting correctly? that's such a wrong doing on Fords behalf!

I have only just started looking into finding a mounting kit for my hardlid, I too have the BF lid with the bulge, I think the BF lid is a lot worse fitting then the BA lid, the BF unit just seems out of proportion compared to the BA unit, too think around the edges etc. But thanks to this thread I now know to get the big hinges!!! $900 still seems a tad steep though? - I was talking with stevo from EGR and he said he could hook me up with a lid kit to fit it for $100, I wonder if that was the full sized one or the dodgey one?...

I'm pretty sure Zoom magazine weighed theirs and it came in at 1750KG - Could be wrong but I think that's what it came in at, that was straight off the street too.

I drive my ute between 3200 - 3400kms per fortnight from Gold coast to Cobar NSW, round Cobar and Dubbo for my days off then back to Gold Coast. It carries a bike alot of the time too, it has 20X10's /20X8's, slammed down low. I just keep it clean, drive it to suit the conditions (dirt roads make a slow trip!!) Just last week I took it out on a Ute Club cruise, Drag racing at willowbank the next day, then lined it up at a car show the third day and still turned some heads and got some compliments. I also have a 1973 Corvette, custom 3 piece rims, slammed, custom paint etc, it used to be my only car when I was younger and I had to drive it almost every day, when I finish its rebuild it will once again be used ona regular basis too - you can use any car as a daily, so long as you treat it right, keep ontop of the cleaning so it doesnt build up etc. Plus these late model fords are built really well, their a pretty good all purpose car!
