  1. Ok finally going back to tune shop after some heart ache with wastegates and aeroflow fuel rail. First one I bought it boost creeped and had issues due to previous owner playing with wastegate springs and couldn't control the synapse very well. So I gave up and bought a turbo smart pro gate and seems to work fine. I thought it wasn't for moment so I test it with a regulator on my compressor was actuating at 14/14,5 psi. Which is good as I believe as the spring is 14. So I thought I would test my boost gauge and it is f.... So we will see how we go tomorrow
  2. To be honest not to sure you'll have to ask kroozin but I think it's ssl
  3. My external wastegate was crap so I bought a new one waiting for new one to arrive then adjust pipe to suit new one
  4. Buy the fg it's less likely to be molested and also have a lot less issues. Ba have 4speed Fg 6 speed Ba crap bottom end Fg rated to 400 + rwkw Ba crap traction control Fg much better Fg has more safety features as it newer car. Better design just overall a better car! Mate save the bucks and wait for fg. I currently have ba, well the list has been long journey and still not as good as fg
  5. Not yet car had leaking waste-gate waiting for exhaust shop to fix exhaust leak then back on the runners
  6. Yea I realised later that's why I apologised
  7. I got 1.8 on street tyres out of manual
  8. I just can't wait to have my car back as it's been off the rd for little while. As work, parts and other things have taken my upgrades little longer to get her back on the road.
  9. To shay my apologies took it the wrong way as once said before easy to make mistakes Not yet red nose thoughts have crossed my mind to even just change the front wheel, unsure to this
  10. Ok well instead of disagreeing we will just see what happens on Dyno. It will be interesting either way I put it. Gains from the front housing will be interesting. As we can see volume might be possibly the way to do things then under velocity. Like for the reasons why we use a 4in exhaust over 3.5 . Because It can carry the volume of air out
  11. Instead of arguing we will see how it goes on the Dyno on these roughly 30 degree day
  12. I believe they still have the 0.5 front housing but they have the smaller rear housing
  13. Much agreed but with more volume less heat but I have gained 50nm across the range with 2 to 3 less boost
  14. Yes It has same comp wheel but as you can see the car was making 391 at 18 and now Makes 405 at 16 all I have done to turbo change front housing. Reason being I did rebuild the turbo not long ago so wasn't ready to get new one ". This was before I "even thought about the 400 mark But probably does help I have also top mounted with tuned length manifold and external wasgate
  15. Makes it bigger turbo because It can carry more volume of air then smaller front housing can
  16. Fair enough didn't know that. Well like I said I believe there is bit left in the gt35 as it is only at 16
  17. Can't see why I can't make any more power As it has 0.7 front cover and has 1.06 rear ar so it should make around 430rw as it also has an external wastegate. Gtx is Sapost to make max of 10% gain at most
  18. It's because I'm the light of his day I'm just not sure if it when I come or when I go lol nah I'm kidding He decent guy as I have see so far and been honest.
  19. Yes I'm going SMASH MY DATE around 20 once change cold side which will be interesting to see. Can't wait. I was speaking with tuner and he was happy to SMASH MY DATE once I upgrade cold side. But it's Interesting to see from old set up making 18 psi making 391 (25 degree day) To 405 ( 30 degree day) with more torque across the range on new set up with 2 to 3 psi less boost If I can make the power I want this heat then I can't wait for some cold weather
  20. Yea Getting a emissions tune so I can get the engineering done But retune will be next week after changing cold side then we are going to push it little harder as I wasn't happy with the result Well I was happy power to boost wise but not what I want. As I want stronger low to mid I'm currently make 10rwkw and 40 + nm torque on 2 to 3 p less boost but as I said I want it to be more harsher then it is
  21. That may have come across wrong It was meant differently I'm cheering its making 400 at 16 but I was trying to get at was I don't want to name a tuner and people take it the wrong way and turn sh...
  22. Muchly appreciated jet I do agree with what you have said torque is the key to win races aswell as put my car under a diet lol. I can see your point with what you have said with it may have all she's got but every bit advice is a gain Just so we are all on the same page, I'm not here to name and shame as I'm here for advice so I can discuss with my tuner what I want but I wanted to have advice before I go try and ask for something which is or isn't possible. As I'm some what new to the modding side of things. Yes My car was built or put together by me beside the exhaust system. As I'm mechanically minded which has has carried me through to this point. I've seen cars make 430rw kW out of auto on the Dyno my car is on with less mods but It had a gtx35 on it. (Internal gate) So from my understanding of an Auto you will lose through the torque converter which would probably carry it to 450rwkw mark as manual. So my reasoning of questioning you boys was to find the average and then ask my tuner how come my car doesn't make around these figures As I have felt with mods I have and the power figure it has made was conservative by the tuner. I now see not worth the dollars to get it there from where it was. It's nothing to do with hp hero it's to do with it made f all difference may aswell go back to the way it was basically, I do feel it has made great power on the boost level it is on. The only main gain I see was that I gain reliability from the wastegate being stupidly large and be able to control the boost more accurately
  23. Muchly agreed I have tried to give him buzz just waiting for the call, It's nothing against the tuner, It was just to see if there was anyone else with similar mods making the power what I felt it should of made. I understand it is standard f6 short block but there has been 450rwkw ba with a factory bottom end (gtx) , what has lasted for over a year or so with no issues and It had less mods as I believe. I don't like to flog the ass end out of my cars endlessly on a daily basis, Just once blue moon I head down to the track do my day and return but don't go stupid. I also service my car every 6000km I change the engine oil and filter. So I feel it should last along time
