Yeah, im not too worried about fuel comsumption as long as the fuel is top quality and it doesnt ping on 98. But you might need to get your checked out as 22l per 100km is a bit high.

Hi mate, ive found that I had the same problem with mine when they were first fitted, so after driving them hard for a while it has stopped the squeaking nearlly completely, worth a go anyway Mark

When I was last at home in Brisbane , it was about 10.30pm I pulled up to a set of lights on old northern road near albany creek, and a small ricer pulled up next to me , I could see him looking over and see he wanted a go so as there was no other traffic around took off on the green and didnt give it much before he backed off, well then I decided to give it a bootfull for a bit of fun and took off up the hill after checking the speedo shortly after ---------. And went through the next set of lights then stopped at the one after as I had to turn right into my street. that's when I noticed a cop car pull up behind me two coppers inside checking the numberplate, as I turned left lights went on and they pulled me over, I quickley grabbed my radar detector off the window screen and stached it , then the copper came over and asked why I took off so fast back there , I said I didnt realise the speed I was doing as I was listening to the radio. He then asked if id been drinking I said no and passed the breatherlizer test, he then asked for my licence as I still had my NZ licence so I quickley grabbed it and passed it over to him. He asked how long ive been over here , I said 3 weeks then asked if im planning on living here so I said no just holidaying. He finially said well stop driving like an idiot and slow down, yeah no problem. I knew that he hadnt got my speed as the radar didnt go off and he mustve been a fair distance back also. Definitely a close call and slowed me down for a while.

So if I was after around 350rwkw would it be worth it getting a ZF 6speed conversion which I think is about 10g if it can handle the power nearly as good as the C9 and is more of a everyday sort of driver with. And im not trading up to the BF as got too much cash stuck in my Ba already.

So any word on the price of a bulletproof C9 or is it what was said earlier 7g, and sort safe power with em, also what are they like for cruising as it wont be just for the drags. Cheers Mark

I always run BP 98 and occasionally shell v-power racing 100 they both run good in it as its tuned for 98

Hi , ive got a ba xr6t and just lately have noticed a clunk in the front right hand side suspension. Seems to bring it out more when braking heavily and going over rough areas of road. Anyone had this before, Cheers, Mark

I think mines around 13/ 100km but dont really take much notice of it. As long as it performs how I like, fuel consumption doesnt bother me. I run mine on 98 sometimes shell v-power racing it seems to like them both better than 95.

One thing mine had was bad steering shudder , that was the main problem with with it, still not fully sorted either. Ford reckoned that was as good as they could get it.

Nah , from late 2003 all turbos had better valve springs as mine had them ive just replaced mine as im going for around 320 at the wheels but its been running fine with the standard ones but was reccomended to change em for the power increase, the 4 speeds will be ok up to 320 -330rwkw as long as they are serviced regularly and stick a good trans cooler on it, if not I will find out soon.

Yeah a custom tune should get around 250 -270rwkw ,anymore and you'll probably need some better injectors maybe intercooler to.

Im with Shannons to and found them the cheapest by far, mine is insured with all the mods and 291rwkw for extreme usage for $550 and a year. I think the excess is 500.

They cant do that under warantry, that's what they are for.

Yeah that's true, youve just got to keep bringing it back , I had a problem with the power steering shudder when turning at low speeds it had been in there 7 times for the same thing and its still not right. its worth trying ford first just incase its a common fault

Sounds like it could be the turbo, if its still under waranty drop it off at ford and get them to sort it.

Hi , was on this site a while back just re-joined, Ive got a 03 XR6T bosch injectors ,catback 3 1/2' S/s exhaust into a twin at the rear, custom tuned, SS Cai, bmc filter, nizpro valve springs,pwr trans cooler and intercooler, its currently running 291rwkw Also got 4pot brembos,typhoon rims.

Does it cover the hoses on the brembos too?
