FYI............ Cruise control will not activate in Fg model until brake pedal has been depressed. This is for manual as auto you should have brake depressed before you place in gear (or drive). Someone let me know if you can put an auto into gear without touching brake then drive off and set cruise an see if it works. NOTE you must turn car off then restart to try. The cruise word will flash untill brake pedal depressed once.

In 1992 ford my parents purchased a EB GT Number 001. After 3 months the front bar started to sag in the middle bottom. Tickford at the time flew someone from Ford 600klm to replace it, which took 15 mins. then they waited the 10 hours at airport for the return trip home. A half stoned idiot could have done it in 20 mins, but tickford said it was part of the service. How times have changed.

As I turn over my vehicles quickley, I am looking to increase the power of my stock Fg to 300rwkw, with the least amount of mods possible, and $$$. I have been searching and cant seem to find out what is the most power made from stock fg with tune only. I am hoping I only have to change the injectors. Any Ideas ??

So if you are getting lots of wheel spin then I take it that you are turning traction control off. And does launch control still work with that swiched off.??

It doesnt matter what intank pump you have when it comes to fuel surge. If there is no fuel around the pump it doesnt run on air.... also from reading the forum it seams that fuel surge is worse in utes than sedans.. there is a number of members who have this problem (not all) I just would not take the risk is a couple $$ more.. but get a quote to rebuit you motor when it has a small electrical problem, caused by a rod knocking the alternator off... anyway back on track.. get 3 mates and take the tub off. (dont forget to unplug number plate light)

just going off my experience. Ba ute 280 rwrk (bad fuel surge) BF ute 335 rwkw (bad fuel surge) FYI..

Dont waste your time. Get a p/w surge tank setup instead. Once you increase power you will need a surge tank anyway. I had a BA and a BF ute , and as soon as I started mods I had bad fuel surge. dont waste the $$$$

I have been able to score a FG XR8 intake snorkle for $20 new (long story). I have searched the forum and cant seem to find if anyone has done this mod or if it will even fit. The mouth is much larger and I am concerned the bonnet wont close. Any ideas to fit FG XR8 intake to FG XR6T..

I have a FG XR6T, my brother has an F6, so I have picked them to pieces. IMO the F6 looks HOT!. But 20k more. That could buy a lot of boost gauges. If you want looks F6. If you want power FG XR6T. (spend the difference on mods) Capa flash box, can pick up for around $300 to $400 Custom Tune. (depends on tuner) aprox $300 $600-$700... 300+ rwkw from stock FG XR6T, Also as for rev limiter chime, Its better to change gears before it reaches the limit as your power in most cases will be bleeding off before you hit it. That should solve that problem. Just my 20 cents... Enjoy

Can any one tell me if the exhaust from FG F6 the same as a standard FG turbo. Also the injectors are they the same. I would assume they are the same but I have just been given a exhaust system and injectors of my brothers F6 and dont know if its worth changing...

$38k new fg manual, xr sports pack, bluetooth & ipod, nitro, I was quote $40k for auto. it will be here on monday. have already sent capa box to tuner for custom tune... my brother has 310rwkw tune only Fg f6 ute...... looks like I need 311....

How long have people been waiting for the new FG ute. ? I ordered mine on 19/01 and still waiting. Have found out its left factory, so not many sleeps now. nitro, manual.

Ok People. I Have search the forum and interested to see how much rwkw the stock clutch in FG is good for aprox. I am in the process of ordering my new FG ute and cant decide auto or manual. I would like some numbers on what other peolpe have got from stock clutch to help me decide. thanks

The liners are screwed in at front and rear. Easily removed if needed. They are for sale on ebay. Do a search for "ute liners". I will be organising a group buy very soon.

I take it by reading this thread there SHOULD be 4 bolts from turbo to manifold. Maybe I,m lucky and only have to tighten the 2 ???? What a pain the the arse.

I fitted a marine carpet linner, its stops tools etc from sliding around and you dont have to screw toolboxes down.

Custom 3.5 with dump, high flow cat and rear muffler, fitted for $1k. I do a lot of highway driving and doesnt drone. IMO mild steel has better sound. Try exhaust shops, you might save$$

I am just wondering if anyone can tell me if a dyno is, or can be adjusted to compensate for the difference in gear ratio from auto to manual. I/e a manual in 4th has a finial drive of 1.0 to 1.0 a auto in 4th has a final dive of 1.14 to 1.0 if my maths is correct (probably not) that's a 14% advantage to auto if we are compairing dyno sheets, from one to another. In other words the gearbox in auto is helping power figures on a dyno as its not 1 to 1 ratio..??? dont shoot... its just a question..

I have just fitted ubp to monza cooler also and noticed the difference, esp low to mid range. I just had ute re tuned last week, and dyno figures proved that, increase in low to mid end but no diffence top end. I now have 335rwkw. as for the monza I think they are great, this is the 4th time it has proven itself on dyno and not just one run wonders.

the Xa was reported to police 2 days prior to us (not police) notifying the owner of the XA. And we only live 600klms away.. It seems when your down kicked in the guts the insurance company kicks you in the nuts, then the police slap you in the head... the insurance company for the Xa sent them a letter to say that after they paid them out , if the car was found and they paid back all monies paid to them, they can have car back.. but wont do the same for stolen xy. then insurance company will pay out 100k and are in a big hurry to do so. So of car is found in good cond they will sell at action for well over 200k. H E L P !

The XA Coupe was found today at broadbeach area gold coast, stripped and cut in half. Bastards.....

Well its now been just over a week and its good to know that the NSW police and NSW RTA still do not have this car listed as stolen.. We cant rush things, there was a public holiday in there somewhere. :ifiusethisimafag: some good news car was picked up by security cam at 2am on a car trailer being towed by 4wd. that's all info we have at the minute.. Also seems to be a lot of XY parts for sale on ebay, just listed..!!
