Got a call from Daniel at Brad Garlics chasing if I got one yet or not... they have 2x manuals for $54,000 drive away- without asking for anything off that was just a flat out call... Called Gavin at Alto for a mate that got behind the wheel of mine and asked for a quote on one also.... They have a couple left, looks like the mate is heading in tomorrow - sub $54,000.... Drive away!!! Got to love Alto!!! Hope this helps!!!

Sorry guys all the ones I looked at were RSpecs and Autos! Ego, and Black! btw- there was an ex demo non rspec at Alto in Sydney, and one at Brisbane for about 46K Blacklocks in Albury had one or two also, as did the guys in Penrith... Do a bit of a ring around and ull be sure to get heaps $$$ off as I did... Alto was the winner for me! Happy days!!! Just stay away from Parra Ford...

Talk to Terry at Alto - They have a F6 going cheap... City Ford had a Rspec for about 53K, as did Brad Garlick (one in the same anyways). And I almost got mine from the guys on the gold coast for 53K, until the boy here in Sydney hit the mark... Ended up getting the baby from Alto, but not at liberty to advise what $$$... was well below what it should have been... Guys in Melbourne at Ethridge had a black for about 54K in Jan... Stay away from Parra Ford they are Cons!!! Ill be back with Alto again for my next in 18 months - 2 yrs, if I decide to go FPV again....

Hey mate, having done a lot of cars of the years its never a bad idea to upgrade the cables as well - however its a lot of stuffing around, so depending on the levels of power u are planning on running, u might be able to get away with std speaker wires... if your going to be running high volume then no harm in swapping.... as for amps, well its never a bad thing to run 1x speakers, and 1x sub - this was if anything goes wrong with the subs u will always still have tunes!!! also normally better general sound... this is the very basic response to your questions, if you want more details please let me know...

Hey newl, What did the 5th dim paint protection cost you - if I may ask? When u say application each year, are u referring to it being redone every 12 months and if so is that included or at a cost 'again'?

Ok- as I have had 2 previous posts in reference to keeping my new baby looking the goods, and it seems everyone is now saying. 1. Dont get paint protection... - waste of money... 2. Wash it carefully... - (obviously). Can anyone suggest a really good car detailer in the Sydney area??? pref. - CDB or East subs, if somewhere else in Sydney still happy to take the advise... Far to many cars I have had end up with dam spider and swirl marks- dont want this to happen again!!! (Especially now that I have a BLACK CAR!!!) Thanks heaps!!!!

Thanks mate- however I was referring to the real stuff that it like glue they put on the car and it doesn't wash off... (well that's what it looked like when I saw it being applied)... Have seen it on an ex partners car, however we we're not together long enough to see what it was like after about 12 months.... wonder if she still washes it all the time or not... Hi Guys and Gurls!!! Just picked up the F6 Rspec and noticed a few paint issues with the Silhouette which were noted on the invoice so should all be good with Warranty moving forward.... Having said that- thinking that Black being such a hard colour to keep clean, and a soft paint, it might be worth getting paint protecting! What's peoples views on this? Any one out there recommend fifth dimension? Thanks all... really important as the last car I had I didnt get it and well ended up with spider and swirl marks everywhere...

Hey all, anyone know any good touch free car wash bays in Sydney? Wont use that crap brush thing anymore after it scratched the S#!7 out of my old car, even after rinsing it for about 30 seconds before hand... As the new car is Silhouette (Black) I DONT WANT MARKS ON IT....!!! Or if there is any recommended mobile car wash guys, or products please let me know! Thanks guys and gurls! Cheers, M.

Hey R-Spec, Stock amp could be in a few places.... In my GT the McIntosh is under the passenger seat. It could be under one of the seats, or behind the dash, or shelf as you mentioned, I would be surprised if its 'not' even not a 'built in' setup rather then a real external amp.... that's my guess...

R-spec, I would have thought u would have needed to run some power into your mono block, as well as not turning the factory 'wire' into the rca connection, but rather a 'high level input' if there is one on the amp.... Running you ipod flat out into the headunit out of a std head phone jack might not be the best (generally speaking) as it may end up killing the pre amp in the head unit.... mind you without seeing this in action first, this is all just assumptions and what would otherwise typically happen in a normal audio situation... They may have put in a reducer for the input to the headunit via the pre amp... once again depends how it is setup... Just what I would have thought!

thanks hypnodoc, after owning manuals for every private car (all worked over imports, and the lib gt) and autos for company cars, figured almost best of both world here... just hanging till next week... :( already looking at mods but cos its a CHP lease and due to warranty issues on old cars not sure what to do and be able to still get away with, maybe remap and switch back before service??? any ideas guys???

Cool! So Im assuming your running the high current/input from the Ford amp into your mono block then into your JL sub? Or is there RCA outputs from the factory headunit? This is interesting that you have upgraded the factory sub - keen to know which method you have used...

Nice work mate- used to have a JL in the old car- since buying the Liberty GT there was no need to do anything to the stereo this time round.... Last time I did an over hall, on a system I spent silly silly levels of money... almost as much as the car cost me... :( Anyways, good choice on the sub- big fan of JL subs! Any idea what the real RMS output on the amp is? and if it can really handle that level of impedance?

Cheers R-Spec, they are the PDF's I have been looking at over the past few hours and following sticking my head in the boot of the RSpec in the show room I couldnt see the Sub! :( hence I asked... guess ill find out when I pick up the beast! BTW- do we know what sort of gear is in it, if there is a 150w amp and sub? or is it typical 'ford' branded stuff? They once used ok Pioneer gear, no idea anymore... What sort of 12" did u put in mate? Thanks again guys!

Hi All, Just a quick question, anyone know who spec/features show on a STD F6 it has the upgraded Stereo inc Sub and Amp, however the RSpec doesn't, other then to cut on some of the costs to counter the cost of the other upgrades? Maybe weight? Seems like a bit of a weird thing to have had happen, or are the specs sheets wrong??? Cheers, Smicky!

75% sure I saw a white RSpec getting tramped off the lights in George St last weekend... turned my head as it sound ssssoooo sweet... only to see it stopped at the next set of lights with two boys in blue... then funny enough same take off only to stop again a few meters up the road... Funny if it was anyone of us, im sure the lights would have been flashing... Makes you think why- huh? :banghead: :wacko: Saw the standard F6 blue last night in the city as well... (Blue boys again- this time in action with the lights flashing)!!!

Was thinking about the manual, however bit over the whole clutch, brake, change, clutch change, clutch change, brake - that comes with driving in Sydney city traffic... :banghead: and with the 6 speed semi auto... seems like it should be almost just as much fun... *Fingers Crossed* Anyone else with an Auto? Hey guys and gurls! Just put a deposit down on a new F6 Rspec, decided not to wait for the release of the new version- for the $$$ can't imagine getting a much better buy for a very very very long time.... So away goes the Suby Liby GT... and in Comes the F6 Rspec.... Something I am interested in known is- Does anyone other then Ford/FPV have any idea how many of each colour in the RSpecs were built? (300 total, brake down on each colour?) I would assume out of the 300 units built, White may have been a few more as it was otherwise the 'hero' car, maybe Ego second, however would be interesting to know if anyone has any idea or knows for a fact what the numbers were?
