  1. I was looking around for coolers and ended up getting a 400x400x76 for around 180 from eBay which they marketed for a rx7. I'm hoping to be able to buy the plazmaman hot side piping and make up my own cold size pipe (unless theirs will fit as well) Good luck the territorys are underrated and a sleeper that can still be a family car

I wouldn't consider nos at that power level there is heaps more to do before that mod and I would leave it to last thing I'm at about 245 awkw with similar mods to you and looking at the next step as well which I think will be an intercooler, I'm not sure that if the intercooler will give me more power but others with similar mods to ours are running 300kw wit the cooler being the only difference Just trying to work out what unit to run and if I make the pipes myself
  3. Hi I have 2 new front driveshafts waiting to go into the TT but I can't be bothered doing the job at home , what sort of costs would be involved taking it to a mechanic to do the job
  4. sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know the tt cat sections the same as the xr6t ? PS no need to cut the front pipes to get rid of the bung just get a piece of rio and knock it through from the outlet once the muffler is off the car

Hi Need to put some new plugs in my Terri turbo, just looking for peoples opinions on what to use, ford seemed to change plugs between ba and bf turbos with all BA's running bigger 1.1 gaps and the bf's having a .9, typhoon kept the same 1.1 gap through both models Currently have some 4 electrode Bosch plugs in it from previous owner Any suggestions on what plug to use in thinking of sticking some original denso ZK20R9 units back into it, going to put injectors and a tune in it shortly and want to change these beforehand Believe the denso plugs are the AGSP22YE09 standard units

I have heard of his rep but wasnt sure if it was only for sct or not, may look into the vcm as well as I really only interested in having the one 98 tune and not changing all the time, since its awd only thing that concerns me it that it could have a fat fuel trim out of bruce's as no 4wd dyno Thinking about 60lb siemens as well but then its a mater of where to stop, at the moment the TT is stock except a exhaust debung / CAI & Filter and as making 185kw

No he never loaded it to his car and has since sold it anyway - belongs to a third party now I think Money back is looking the best option, ill never buy another without testing it, Looking at Sniper now anyway - Anyone know who can tune in Adelaide - only grabbed this X3 as it as cheap and had intended to go the sniper before I found this If I can find a few mates that want tunes as well the sniper may work out a decent price, FYI the X3 was intended for my SY Terri Turbo not a standard Terri :-) **Edit - saw the post about those american X3's, at least he fessed up about it

Yeah right Just got onto the guy and he swears its ok to go and even had it in a tune shop when he bought it and they said that they could upload the tune then but he declined and waited to do it later or something Just tried to load the file into the Terri but got *Incorrect Vehicle* Looks like iv been Scr#*ed, guy said he would return my cash though so im taking a drive tomorrow, guess its the old thing of "Buyer Beware"

Yeah I picked it up so know here he lives, guy is not even responding to my messages So definatley looks like its locked then ?, should I try to upload the file to the car even though its probably the wrong files - will this have any ill effects but ill know if it works or not also told me it had 3 x generic tunes on it but has only got 1 custom by the looks

Guys Just purchased a second hand SCT X3 from Gumtree - Guy assured me that it as brand new and never used and had it for a previous car and didn't get around to using it, seemed genuine enough Just got it home and plugged it in, it let me browse the cars error codes and ECU strategy number etc, then I went in to upload tune to see what as on it in the way of generics and there is a tune on there called "marks tune" or something similar Then went into the setup menus of the X3 and it has 5 resets avail still but status is currently set to "Married" , I have messaged the guy back saying im coming past tomorrow to get my cash back but no reply as yet (been about an hour) - is there anyway to test if the box is definatley locked Box cost me $400, is it feasible to send it to SCT to unlock it ? and then I would still have to pay for some generic tunes to be loaded ? worst case scenario

Hey Im in Adelaide and looking for a tune on my TT, currently only mods are debung & SS Inductions kit and K&N filter, have got a X3 for it though but no tune loaded yet Hows Bruce's tune going and what sort of money are tunes going for these days - is it worth the extra expense of getting it done in a dyno ? Anyone heard of TZee tuning in Adelaide ? apparently have 4wd dyno

Hey Got a 07 TT the other week and the bug has bitten already, I know basically what upgrade route I want to go down but just after some feedback for bang vs buck As I bought it the following has been done, SS Inductions CAI, K&N & Debunged exhaust Im getting it run up tomorrow to see where I am at but it just dosent feel like I expected, running a OBD2 ELM327 scanner and Torque for android im getting 4.2psi at full throttle I dont want to go the route of front mount cooler yet or injectors so basically the only thing left is a tune im guessing. Is the X3 the best option or are there better options out there I dont understand why custom tunes are worth what they are as basically a tuner could flash in a tune off any other XR6T that they have done and run it up to check - Job done in an hour max Anyhere good in Adelaide to go for a tune ?
  14. Got the final tune done today, power ended up at around 276 kw @ 10 psi without maxing the injectors and keeping a nice safety margin. The power graph is so smooth as compared to above , there was a 300 kw tune but the tuner thought that it would be best to play it safe, that was at about 15psi and maxing injectors out Thanks to Corey at Fisher Performance for all his time put in behind the doors
  15. Ford updates are a pain in the ass, They change the process codes and if your tune isnt bilt for it most times it brings on the oil light - nothing more
