  1. Ha guys Am up for my 30,000kms service BF XR6T utes, does anyone have an idea of the cost of this Ford service. The car has a few annoying issues, mainly with trim, centre dash lights not working and steering wheel stereo controls. Are the any problems I should be looking for, that I have not noticed? Also car has a slight brake shudder from freeway speed, will this be cover under warranty. Thanks for all your help
  2. My ute is lowered, and I love the stance of it, but what is really start to sh*t me is the fact that some areas are no go, for example higher then normal speed humps, drives with kinks. Has anyone put air bags on there ute, if so where did you get it done, cost ? Im in NSW if that helps. Yes before anyone says, the easy option would be to raise it an inch! Would be good to hit a button to raise it when an obstacle is incounted. Tried to place photo, but havn't worked that out just yet.
  3. Hey Guys Im from Maroubra NSW, and I see many XR6T's around home and on my travels to work. And have often wondered how many members are in my area, or passing on the drive to work. Which leads me to ask who's in my area, and where is everyone from in NSW
  4. spotted Erina Shops top level carpark on saturday. XR6T sedan, silver, rego XR640L I think hopping that its someone on here as the wheel and brake package where the best ive seen. need to know what they where.
  5. what are you guys paying for excess. I'am with Just Car paying $1700 a year, 32yro male on a BF XR6T ute 60% no claim I didnt think this was to bad, however the excess is $2400 is I crash it or $3000 if stolen, which I think is a massive rip-off. have been reading these post to find a better company for next year
  6. I guess what I was wondering is why the fuel usage goes up as the car rolls. The car is not in gear, idling at 750rpm with my foot not on the acclerator. Is the calculation measured using the drive axle and diff ?
  7. Good morning everyone long time reader, first time poster. picked up my new toy about 2 months ago (BF xr6T manual ute, Mercury Silver) and have found this site to contain a lot of use full information. One of the things I have notice as I have been sitting in the parking lot located on the M5 in Sydney. Is the instantaneous fuel readout, with the car in neutral rolling with the traffic at 5 to 15kmh the car is idling at 750 rpm but the fuel readout is telling me that I am using between 7 to 9 litres an hour. However when the car is stationary it only uses 1.3 litres an hour, at 750 rpm. I would have though it to be the same in both conditions. I only notice this as I was trying to save the precious liquid in traffic. I hope one of you knowledgable bunch will have an anwser for this. once again, love the site Andrew
