Hey nearly finished installing my new rapid 3.5 kit and found a wire on the harness which I hadn't plugged in, it goes into the sensor on the cold side bolts into the metal pipe and has 3 pins, what is this and do I need it? and where do I put it now as I cant see anywhere on the rapid kit to put it??

  17. ops bought mine from http://shop.ebay.com.au/merchant/cnx00x cnx here on the forums, cant edit first post D:
  18. I bought one off him, and it required no mods at all!!, I just have the glass sitting in front of the screen, doesn't move about at all, haven't got my carputer working yet still waiting on VGA to CGA converter but I have tested the touch panel and seems to work like a charm, I couldn't seen to get it working under windows vista 64bit, but my carpc is windows xp anyway and it works fine on that. Cant notice much of a visibility difference with the overlay in there either, but I haven't been out driving in the sun yet, but so far so good. Thanks cnx!
  19. Never mind.... turns out my heater core must be leaking, coolant everywhere, and is drying up on the heater core causing the terrible smell.
  20. Hey all, just bought the ford axillary input booster kit, installed it yesterday, and it all works good, no whine etc nice and loud. But I noticed a smell so turned it off in fear of burning stuff. Thought it may have just been co-incidence but ive had it on and off a few times, and you can defiantly notice a new smell when you turn it on after a minute or to, ICC volume on about 15. Pretty sure I installed it right, would be pretty hard to get 2 plugs wrong that only fit in the designated sockets(have re socketed them to make sure still no difference). So has anyone else experienced it and what do people recommend I do? ive felt the box/most of the loom I can reach while its on and nothing is even slightly warm, so its not that burning, well maybe inside the box. But ive normally found with electronics if you smell a bad smell 99% of the time its to late and something is fried, ive had this on about 5 times for up to 5 minutes and its still working and sounding fine. Maybe just a paint or a glue/sticker inside the box getting warm perhaps? any ideas? Source is my n95 on headphone mode at 100% volume
  21. Could you recommend one? and where I could buy it?, can't find anything on ebay :(

Yeah saving for a house would be the smart thing to do, with the 21k new home builders grant atm as well, but it just seems to hard for me atm, I have a sh*t job, it pays well but I hate it. Trying to get an apprenticeship for next year, ill do that for 4 years then hopefully have a trade and decent income then put it all towards a house.
