the T is ideal for towing as it has a heap of mid range torque. Yes I agree the 4 speed is a little dated but from what I know it can be fixed with either a hi stall for quick takeoffs or diff ratio change for more flexability in gears. The best thing to do is get an edit and see how you go.

I have a 4 speed auto ute. I have been told that the 3.9 gears are not avaliable. Is this true? what would be the RPM in 4th gear @ 100kmh with the 4.1 gear set? also what would be max speed with 1st (at the moment it is 80 kmph)

I was going to do this to mine but I hated the idea of not being able to have it in park when it needs to fold in and out as it is automated with the ignition. The only other way I saw was to put a double din TFT down there but it looks too low and not very practical, so I ended up selling my kenwood dvd which was only a few months old.

I feel like I am missing on alot of fun that people are having with the zf 6 speed. I have the auto 4 speed and having first go to 80kmh is getting boring. I have over 300rwkw and would like some low down poke. I like the idea of redlining 1st and being just over 60km/h, that must feel awesome. what can I do to improe the poke down low. I know I can put better diff gears but this will effect hwy driving. what speed will 1st do if I had 3.9s and what rpm will I be at when doing 100kmh will economy be better or worse and by how much if anyone out there has changed diff gears on a 4 speed please tell me how it went.

I have just had my car tuned. I am happy with the result but I would like another opinion with the dyno printout. Is this curve normal. Boost apparently is at 12 psi and Im not sure what torque is at.

with 260 at the treads I went to 100 in 5.45, in my auto ute with 309 I did it in 4.8 on a very hot day

I have the following mods wog cooler deka injectors cobra valve springs k&n typhoon CAI 3" metal cat (magnaflow) the car currently puts out 309 rwkw what would be the next step without spending too much what is the limit on the pistons and rods in these motors? I want to try to keep the stock exhaust as I dont like noisy cars
