Hey mate, What is the program that you are trying to run? Is it generating errors just regarding the windows OS version? The reason I ask is that some 95 compatible programs require a lower graphics resolution, I.e. 16 bit running at 800x600 pixels. Ill try 2 help u as much as I can... Cheers

Hi Guys, Before I got my T I had a VT Late model camira and put the Pedders UL springs on it. Then about 2 weeks later I bought my T and the VT went into storage. My pedders springs are brand new and was wondering if its possible to transfer the springs from the como to my T???? Will they actually 'fit' as such?

Yeah definitely not my cup of tea, sorry mate. For $3000 including tyres you can pick up some stunning 19's or even 20's for the same price. As rapid subtlly implied the rims do look outdated, I reckon 20 inch deep dish wheels would go awesome with a black T, but its what your happy with in the end... Good luck mate!

Yeah my jack did the same thing about 2 weeks ago, I had a flat and realised at the local shopping centre. I decided to change it there and then and just as I was about to put the spare tyre on, and jack gave way! I had to quickly jam in the spare tyre underneath the rear guard otherwise it would of fallen on the axle. Could of been very disasterous. The jack bent on a 90 degree angle, but hey get this, my girlfriend has a 1993 pulsar that weighs less than a tonne, I used her OEM jack, and it held my car up no problems! smaller and thinner material, yet stronger... I recommend getting a new jack and ditching the ford OEM one, piece of if you ask me, whats 80 bucks in comparison to someones life?

Its sorted out, IT WAS actually my battery, its completely charged but not emitting any power. tried a brand new one, worked fine, therefore battery stuffed. Easy fix!

Hi Guys, I just went to start my XR6T and the smartshield security light is illuminated everytime I crank it over. In the manual it says if the car doesnt start with the correct key, a 'system malfunction' has occured, and I need to see a ford dealer. I searched the other topics and they were easy fixes like an earthing problem, flat battery, and unfortunately for me I dont have these problems! Has anyone come across a fix for this? Any help is appreciated....

Hey Nathan, Sorry for the late reply, but try acetone, it should take the clear coat straight off! I have the BA XR8 18's that were quite scratched up, myself and a mate sanded them all back with an electric sander, then removed any excess clear coat using acetone. I just applied it to a cloth and rubbed them down, eats it straight off, but the acetone may leave your rims looking slightly dull. Just use a metal polish (Autosol I think is the best for this) and give em a good polish, worked an absolute treat! Though I must admit just doing the lip might look a bit messy and uneven, polish then clear coat, but hey try in a small area and then decide... Cheers

Hey Mate, I think it would look tougher and cleaner without the badge, but if it were me I couldn't justify spending a couple of hundred dollars on patching up the hole and respraying the tailgate. But hey as newl said its what appeals to you in the end and what you would be happy with. Trust your judgement!

Thanks guys, and yeah the cars out of warranty by about a year. dont know why it happened though, when I got the car the LCD had minor scratches, but it was nothing to be concerned about, then all of a sudden I started the car before and there was a a white circle on the screen?!?! I called AXL too, thanks falchoon, its going to cost $640 for a new LCD. its a pain but I cant leave it the way it is at the moment... get it done on monday!

Hi All, About an hour ago my premium sound LCD screen in my XR6T decided it was going to be a and burnt a white 1cm circle on the top left hand of the screen. I now need to replace the LCD. Does anyone know of a company\person in melbourne who does replacements of these screens? Ive heard of a company that do DVD conversions utilizing the old BA screens called AXI, and have heard they can do it, but I cant seem to find anything about them. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey Michael, Yeah I know Craig he started not all that long ago, seems like a good bloke, but I dun know what he would of told u about my T its pretty much stock atm! I saw you today at the lights near Southland too, I was crossing the road, you changed your rims???? but fark man that intercooler is massive, your car looks tough 4 sure! Perhaps there are two fake phoons driving around the area, it wouldnt surprise me really..... But guys just to clarify, I dont mind 3rd party bodykits on these types of cars at all, and even the FPV badges are fine, but to brand a car an F6 when its clearly no where near it, that's rice as.

So you will be putting the phoon kit on, (which is fine by the way) or are you going to impose an F6 with badges, decals, bodykits, etc??????

Hi Guys, Yesterday I was driving home from work in Chelteham and I was waiting at the lights, and this P plater drove past in a silver phoon. I saw it side on and was sitting on FPV GT 19's, had GT stripes, and the bulging bonnet. From side on it looked farkin mint. I was talking about this with a mate from work this morning and he apparently knows this bloke. THE CAR IS A FARKIN FAKE. A STOCK XT with a phoon bodykit with GT rims and bonnet, EVEN with the F6 badges. However, if I didnt speak to this guy I wouldnt know any different because I only saw it for a couple of seconds. I would of known straight away if I saw the front of the car, (it has stock XT lights still). Im not a fan of imitating cars with fake badges and what not. bodykits = fine, bodykits with fake F6 badges = your an idiot. It frustrates me that ppl do that kind of sh*t though! Am I blowing up for no reason? What are your thoughts on this??? Heres some pics of that car, I found it on the net. it's "complimented" with an AWC kit:

Thanks for all the replies guys, ill see how it goes in the next month or so and if im getting pulled over more than usual ill definitely consider buying a herrod grill, or spraying the intercooler black. As for KS's question its an XR6T, not a phoon, but im a little confused as my intercooler is stock but chrome? The guy that I bought it off had done nothing visually or mechanically to the car whatsoever. Ive always been a Expensive Daewoo guy so the finer details with fords are a bit blurry... BT if you see an XR6T around the Berwick or cheltenham area with the number plates PURVIE that will be meeee!

Hi Guys, Im a recent ford convert from Expensive Daewoo and just bought an XR6T. Im still a p plater in VIC and im curious to know if any other p platers out there have got a lot of unwanted cop attention in this type of car? The car is stock from factory atm but im still thinking that if ppl have had problems, I might take all the badges off, spray the intercooler black, etc. These are just suggestions but before I do anything any feedback would be great, thanks!
