Cruise: Up The Old Highway And Back Down Putty Rd

FIRST NSW CRUISE OF 2007!

When: Sunday, January 14th, 2007

Where: Truck Rest Stop @ Old Pacific Hwy, Berowra (formerly known as the Old Toll Booths)

Starts: 9am sharp!

To kick off the new year we'll go for a burn up the Old Pacific Hwy and back down Putty.

Cruise Details

- From Sydney take the Berowra Exit off the F3 Freeway and turn right (north) onto the Old Pacific Hwy. Top up your fuel tanks in Berowra (Shell, Mobil, Caltex) and proceed north. Take the Old Pacific Hwy Exit just north of town and once you are on the exit ramp enter the Truck Stop in the right lane (miss it and you have a long drive ahead before you can do a safe u-turn).

- Coffee & Gourmet Pies at "Pie in the Sky".

- Up the Old Pacific Hwy, then Peats Ridge Rd on our way to lunch at the Wollambi Tavern.

- From lunch it's up to Broke (it has a 600m dirt section), cutting west to jump on Putty Rd for the run home via Windsor.

Bring your CB radio so that you will know what is going on during the cruise (directions, updates, silly commentary and a few good laughs).

PLEASE have a full fuel tank when you arrive at the meeting point. Shell & Mobil are on the Old Pacific Hwy as you drive into Berowra and a Caltex is just off the highway on the left at the Berowra Waters Rd turnoff (near the train station).

Looks like I may have a night shift that night but I might be able to come along for a while and leave early.. Any idea how long the cruise will be. I have to be back in the shire by at least 5pm
