  1. Hi peoples, Just thought id vent my issues and hope one of you has maybe had the same issue. The car is a 2003 BA XR6turbo sedan, lowered springs, 18" wheels and not much else done to the front end. I bought the car as is height wise, so im not real sure about the suspension. Ok, when turning the steering when the car is at low speed is creating a click which to me feels as though its coming from the steering, but im no mechanic. The car has been through 3 different work shops and none of them have found anything wrong with the suspension as yet. There is no ill feeling through the s/wheel other than the click. And the click isnt happening all the time. And also sometimes when slowing down to come to an intersection it can do it to. The car has had the suspension replaced and everything checked and still no joy. Is there a common issue with the steering rack? Maybe a ball joint? Im just hoping now.... Any ideas would be great. Thanks Deaks
  2. Think ive found the reason most are finding this grill so hard to swallow, you've mounted the mesh too far from the original position, which gives the grill a more pronouced look. You need the depth for the front of the Falcon to work, even in XT form. See if you cant mount it deeper.
  3. BA 2 door Guess this without the bonnet bulge would be what your after.
  4. Wait a sec, if a car is run in melbourne, owned by a melbournian, and driven by one, but then bought by a NSWelshman, why does that make the fastest XRt in the land from NSW? Until it runs a 9.9 sec qtr at the hands of the new owner surely the record belongs in Vic? Just logic really. If Aussie Dave Grubnic sells his car the new owner doesnt take over his records.
  5. So your going to take an internet sites reviews as gospel instead of listening to it yourself? Stuff that. Do yourself a favour and get it, you wont regret it.
  6. Not sure if it was worth waiting 5 years for, I mean that's a long time, but it is an incredible album. 'The Pot' and 'Roseta Stoned' are brilliant. As for them being amazing live, well weird (they did sound great) is one way to put it, Maynard didnt even show his face at the last tour show in Melbs. But you get that from total oddballs. If you wanna know how weird they really are, just watch the film clips from Aenima.
  7. As ive just found out, a single 3" is actually holding my car back from reaching what it should. Im getting a stock exhust and im going to modify it to flow a little better.
  8. Hey Danno, My box has been in for a little while now, basically the same as yours, and I agree with everything you mention, its great fun to drive, and its not what you'd call harsh (cept maybe the shift into 2nd). Mines got 271rwkws now to go with the box and im struggling on this set of rear tyres. Actually they are rooted. When you stall it up what happens?
  9. Nope, just my damn airbag light does that, but the traction control hasnt been any probs at all.
  10. Personally I switch the t/c button off everytime I get in the car, no matter if its raining or not, I dont want the cars brain thinking when it doesnt do it so well. My car had the generic tunes since I bought it (5 months) but now has a Nizpro tune. The traction light would come on, then go off again, then back on when the t/c was doing something. Isnt that how its sposed to work?

    Tuned Xr6T

What are you on about Adam? How do you know what go it has? Are you psycic? Feels like it has some go to me, and really that's all that matters. As for your sig, your taking the piss right? A commonwhore making an XR look more like a taxi? I almost thought you were being serious there for a sec.......

Best to give Dave at Kewish autos a bell, as I know a little bit, but if I tried to explain it, id just confuse you, and me aswell. Yeah the next few things are cat, centre muffler, and a few air box mods (like getting rid of it entirely).

    Tuned Xr6T

Well after talking to quite a few peeps about who and where I should get my car tuned, I decided on NizPro, for two reasons, 1, their location to where I live, and 2, Simon just seemed like a genuine guy and they have results too. So to give you a run down on my cars mods, its got Edit, cat back zorst, bigger fmic, Kewish autos modded auto (2500k stall, kevlar bands, treated planetary gears, nice firm shift and a few other things) Nizpro upgraded injectors and upgraded valve springs. Before its current tune wasnt really sure what power it was making, but either way it wasnt a safe tune, as the fmic bumped the boost up a little to much. And engine cut isnt a good feeling. Simon guessed it at 225rwkws on a generic tune. So the cars back now, three tunes later (3 separate ones that is, full power, a little less and economy tune through the Edit) and she has 271rwkws. It comes on a lot stronger than it used to, and actually does something in first gear now, but its up into 2nd and 3rd that its an animal. The auto def helps with the drivability too, as the stall is perfect. And the shifts are as crisp as you'd want them. That and it shouldnt munch the box like it would have a stockie. Rolling accelleration is incredible, back to 2nd and after the rear wheels have traction its blindingly fast. Havent had too much time in the car yet, but first impression are great. Thanks Simon.
  14. Might see your car down there on Wednesday then Ben, mines going in for minor surgery, injectors, valve springs and a retune, dunno what im hoping for, but anything better than what it is now would be great. And I second the removal of crap from the boot. I cant believe you left it there. Crazy.....
  15. Ok as most of you know a few of us headed out to Calder Park last friday night, some with the intention of running, others just wanting to watch, I was in two minds, but my car made my mind up for me. But a lot did run. Was a great night, a little hot but great fun still. Heres my pics from the night, there are heaps more but these are some good ones. Calder Drags Hope you enjoy. Deaks
