Thanks for your comments,

I guess that when it comes to cars it is all personal, what bothers me may not bother the next person, but this doesn't change the point that the car has an acknowledged problem and audible one too, and its simply taken 7 months to get absolutely nowhere. The facts are that the car still isn't fixed.

THe other issues that I've had have been fixed in a timely fashion a'la 8 hours to do, the rest of the time its been coz of this one audio problem! :B):

I am sure that some of you would realise that being told "This will definately fix your problem, just book the car in and we will get it done for you" by happy chirpy mechanics are one thing, but after the 16th time I get VERY tired of it. It isn't the mechanics fault per se, its what they are being directed to do and by whom that is the problem!

I am awaiting a response in writing from both Ford Melbourne, and the NSW Deparment of Fair Trading, Consumer Tenancy Tribunal. I will see what they have to say about it then.

The main thing I am angry about is that fact that I don't have my car has led me to miss one XR cruise, one planned holiday away (modified plans) and I still haven't been given a precise date for the return of my car. Makes things very hard when I have University course and study and trips and most of all the Cruise I've been attempting to plan since the Marulan / Batemans Bay cruise of last year!

Happy Motoring, *hands you all a big piece of wood to touch*

I think the old saying one happy person will tell 10 people, but a unhappy one will tell 100 has changed slightly in our favour.

If/When my car arrives, I assure you that Ford WILL fix any problems to my satisfaction (I hope I have none :beeer: ) or I will be telling 1,000's of current and future Ford owners and also Ford that this will be the case. It may seem like a threat, but bad press is a companies worst enemy and if justified can do more to get a possitive reaction to a problem.

The internet has allowed us to research items that we look at purchasing. I had read most articles on this site and now know what to look for when I pick up the car. I think the dealer is already a bit worried as I have asked for several things he had never even heard of.

I bet a great deal of people who own T's or GT's on this forum looked at this site before they purchased their cars, I am sure we have not even heard from people who DID NOT buy a T because of the list of unsatisfied owners threads.

While I do not think the Ford poor attitude to warranty issues are an epidemic, they can appear much worse being in the public eye.

I am glad I have ordered mine, and I am now much more informed on what to check when I pick up the car and also what to look for when owning the car.

Cameron, I really hope that your T is fixed and that you have second thoughts on selling it as you would be hard pressed finding a suitable alternative. :innocent:

Best of luck with what ever path you choose Cam. Its sad to hear you are having so many problems with FORD. They really should read this website to get some feedback on their products.... :bluegrab:

Sounds like you have been well and truly bent over and stiffed by the beloved manufacturer. As the manager of a brand name company, I know the one thing that gets my arse in to gear to resolve a problem is the fear of having my door kicked in and a camera shoved in my face by one of the "Current Affair" type journos. If you car is as crappy as you say, and your experience has been as bad as it sounds, I reckon it might make a nice 7 minutes of prime time tv for all to see. Best to give them a call, get a name of one of the producers, ring your "friends at FOMO and let them know that the story is under way and of droppinh a producers name would help. I think you would FOMO would go to any legnths to avoid a 7 minute story on your car being broadcast on prime time TV.

I do recall seeing a similar story ages ago on the Capri. same sought of situation.

Cheers n Beers :beeer:
