Hi,

I cant help you with stage 1 , went straight to stage3 and after seeing the work the guys did on my car Im sure you will be happy with any of the aps systems. Give Peter a call at aps he is always ready to run through the kit and answer all your questions. Not sure where your from but there is a aps day in sydney 27th march .

Cheers

Hey Turbo4lt, how many km/s have you done with the stage 3 and how is the manual holding up so far? Have you driven a stage 2 and if so, how does it compare? Did you get the engineers certificate?

Cheers,

Chris.

All 100% emmissions compliant although as you'd learn at an APS day or by talking to them you need to get an engineers report done to be driving a 100% street legal car... (correct me if I'm wrong ppls ears still bleeding from Saturday's info overload)

Cost estimates...

Stage 1 : < $ 1700 ish (ECU)

Stage 1.5: < $ 2700 ish (ECU + Injectors)

Stage 2: < $ 6000 ish (Too much stuff to mention)

Stage 3: < $10K ish (Even more than Stage 2!)

ISH! ...I think :D

Goto their website for details of the systems and make sure u have tissues....

FOR WIPING YOUR MOUTHS!.... jeepers

Talk to the nutters at APS.. they are a friendly bunch ;)

Hi Cdm

I've had the phase III for about 2000km so far and all is well with the box. I dont abuse the box , usually take the changes slow and then put the power on. Its quite fun in second going along about 80km plant it and when the boost comes on it breaks into wheel spin.

The thing is the way the power comes on so smooth its not a smack in the back but a smooth surge , this could help the T5 live longer I think. When driving the car normally it feels as smooth as standard but more responsive.

I went straight to Phase III so cant help with comparison, the engineers cert. im getting organised in the next few weeks.

Cheers

Thanks Turbo4lt, I think I will aim for phase 3 in the future (distant future!) when I can afford it. I am interested to see how the T5 copes with 300rwk after about 50 000kms, so I guess I may be waiting a while. Cheers.

PS: Sorry for the thread Hi-jack.

I f I remember correctly peter mentioned in one of his posts that they are also working on bringing down the cost of stage 1 (ECU). dont think it would be much but every single dollar saved.... is more you can spend on your beloved beast <_<

I dont't mean to detract from the Aps stage 1 but you could also look at the xede ecu.

With the unichip it is only able to be used for the falcon and therefore is limited in future applications.

I had a unichip in my subaru and when it came time sell it I cold only get $450 for it as it can't be used in the T.

The xede on the other hand can be re configured to suit other cars and therefore better in my opinion.

Also the xede has several more benifits compared to the unichip.

Just my opinion and not bagging the unichip it is a good product .
