I really don't think you will be disappointed.Pretty sure I mentioned this car in that last list I gave you and it now comes with a manual option. There is also the new 6 cylinder model that is better again.Day to day this car has better livability and nearly as much fun. It provides you with greater options that I am sure you can appreciate. It doesn't make as many compromises as the WRX does. Redhawk ....Time to lay this fairytale aside...... Donating Members 2,657 Member For: 22y 2m 30d Gender: Male Location: In the Ferry on the River Styx, not getting out just yet! Posted 08/10/04 11:13 PM Share Posted 08/10/04 11:13 PM So how is everyones GT's and XR8'S going? Great to hear Rob, apart for the oil consumption the 'Fox' is still an amazing car, and so much fun to drive. Had her nearly 12 months now and still get heaps of thumbs up's, admiring nods and comments like, "Awesome car man", "Love your GT mate" etc; The only negative comment was...."You've got a very distinctive car there, if I catch you again I'll book ya!" The brake squeal fix has worked completely, the replacement pads are fantastic, No more cringing every time you pull up at the lights. The Premium brakes do perform quite adequately, glad I did'nt shell out the extra for the Brembos.I will test drive the F6 when my dealer gets one in, or if hypnodoc is kind to me (hint, hint) but there is no way I will part with the Fox........yet!!! Your welcome mate, but they have told me I'll be waiting till at least mid next month for the bloody thing so I'm wondering if I should wait for an 05 plate. In the meantime I'm going to fit the new twin T/Body & Plenumn chamber from BPT, then take the GT back to Merc turbo land (wooo hooo, the Nullabor again) for some new cams that work with a smooth idle and have enabled a GT to crack 300rwkw with a unichip tune, got 25,000klm on The Beasty now and it still goes like a stung cat, never used any oil.
