March 8, 200422 yr #11 Ezy10z, I have no interest in getting involved in any untoward arguments about who's kit does what, or slagging other products. It is a shame that a distributor of ours got a little carried away - however I have already addressed that issue, and besides, human nature being what it is, I can't tell somebody how to live their lives.Instead I will keep everything 'clean' and as previously stated let our customer cars do the talking for Nizpro (Cobra), just like bcl, turbo6 and others.Once again, thanks for the comments.Greg Brindley.Nizpro. Greg,I think it was a shame that one of your distributors got carried away with some of their comments. One thing is for sure I've definitely noticed the change since you addressed the problem and nothing worst than being caught up in something which wasnt your fault to begin with..If Nizpro are entering their T in the upcoming heathcote meet in April do you have big plans for that or possibly debut something which we havent seen done on a T yet ??? I'm curious because latey I havent heard much about Nizpros's development or goals they may have..Thanks.Robbie.
March 8, 200422 yr #12 Ezy10z. Thanks for your enquiry.Cobra simply hasn’t the financial resources of some others in the game; hence creating additional combinations takes a little longer than one would hope. That said, we are extremely keen to debut a new combination at the Heathcote meeting, but once again it is a time thing. The one thing I can say is that – assuming we make It to Heathcote – that everyone will need to have some eye socket glue at the ready.Other than this, we now have ‘Cobra Entry’, which is a Xede fitted and tuned for approximately 210-220 rwkW. There is also Stage Two Plus which via the addition of valve springs and a new front pipe/cat combination is now reaping a genuine 325 rwkW or 390 flywheel kW. But this is about as far as we want to go for the average streeter, as with approximately 780Nm and that much power, you really are looking the down the barrel at possible driveline upgrades.Going to bcl’s Stage 3 process that by adding even more mid range and top end, the driveline simply can’t cope.Hope this info helps.Greg Brindley.Nizpro.
March 8, 200422 yr #13 I, for one, like Julian Edgar's writing. Have been a long-term subscriber to Autospeed and I reckon it's great value. Maybe I should try harder with the over-hyped drivel of the mainstream mags, but, although I buy them, the writings been all downhill for years. I eagerly awaited the article on the XR6T in Europe and found it a bit ho-hum! The piccie Hypnodoc scanned was good though'. Cheerszeke

So wont Nizpro be developing kits for people with modded drivelines??I thought I read somewhere that nizpro wanted to crack 1000hp with the T's engine!!Im sure there are alot of people with T's that want something a little more than a car that is a "average streeter"??
March 8, 200422 yr #15 my 2.2c worth. In regards to comments to the Autospeed article...... I would think not too many people go the extra step to pay for the download article. There is so much info available on the web (from manufacturer / supplier) sites for free viewing which means there are more people in a position to openly discuss those articles.Having said that, I think the best way of promoting any auto performance kit is to let the product sell based on its performance.I just went for a drive in a Nizpro Cobra kitted car last week (350kW I think) and still can NOT get the excitement of the adrenalin rush out of my mind. boost6 followed up his previous PB with a 12.44 1/4 mile time at AIR on the weekend. Bloody awesome! This is a daily driven car, not a drag prepped racer, and is what most of us are looking for in assessing how and what modifications to do to our cars. It's absolutely fantastic to hear a T has cracked the 10's, but it is a car which has been specifically tuned for that drag meet and not typical of the performance a phase 3 APS system installed on an everyday driver would achieve. Its absolutely fantastic to have two manufacturers supplying a variety of staged kits which can get mid 12's easily on the street. I still haven't driven an APS kitted car, so can only base my thoughts on what I've read. Both the APS and the Nizpro systems have their merits. There are differences in the components of the kits, and the visual impact they both provide. But the important thing is they BOTH provide the goods where it counts. On the road.During my conversation with the owner of the Nizpro modded car, I was told that the Nizpro Exede chip comes pre-programmed, ready to install. Does this mean that a dyno tune is not necessary?I have a little more time to clock up a few more km before deciding which kit to install. Both the Nizpro and APS systems provide the power and the torque and the driveability on the street that I want It comes down to other issues such as auto trans mods required and reliability. One good point is that my Adelaide based dealer is involved with fitting the Nizpro kits, and the guys in the workshop are very enthusiastic and knowledgable about modified Fords. Its a big plus for Nizpro when you've got a dealer who can be supportive when you modify your car .For anyone like me who has been contemplating a serious power upgrade: Go for a ride in one of these modified cars. Behind the wheel of a refined 12 second street car is an awesome place to be. Once bitten, you won't rest till you've found the remedy of modifying your own car. cheersonya to both Nizpro and APS As Ali G says.... "its all about keeping it real"
