Can anyone tell me what size the speakers are, front and rear in the ute?

I want to replace them with better quality speakers and run them through an amp.

5x7s front and rear.

Being a rare size, you'll pay a bit to get decent 5x7s. It'll save you having to mod the mounts though.

But, if you want to put 6x9s in, or 6s, it's not hard.

The rears are easy. Pull the mounting plate out (dodgy piece of sheet metal, replace with wood if able.) and modify the hole and mounting holes to suit 6x9s... Or whatever you want to put in there.

Fronts a bit more tricky. Less to work with.

I mounted 6"s in the standard holes, but the screws are JUST holding the speakers in. Looks dodgy, but once you get the trim back on, you can't see it. And after 6 mths my speakers haven't fallen out either.

:innocent:
