XR6PSI Member 80 Member For: 23y 4m 10d Posted 07/02/04 06:10 AM Posted 07/02/04 06:10 AM the rust usually seems to show around door hinges as an easy dector. what seems to happen is that between hinge and body, its left bare metal instead of being primed then bolted on ( coz that's too difficult). any where anything is bolted to the body is a suspect spot. on ours when it was looked at it had started pitting. apparantly some repair jobs are over 2000 worth. so advice to remove a door hinge and have a look. only problem is that you run risk of removing paint.
