Newbie Ford Owner With Ttg Questions :-)

Hey guys,

I just brought myself my first ever ford and its an 07 Turbo Ghia.... and OMFG what a car. I have always like the idea of a XR6 turbo but then I saw these and I had to have one. I will post some pics soon but its black with black leather and 22" wheels, also has been flash tuned to 10psi and debunged and now I have removed the rear muffler for a bit more of a tougher note (was told its has around 300kw), I assume that would be at the flywheel.

But as with any new car I have a few questions that I havent been able to find any answers for,

1. What sparks plugs should I be running?

2. What type of oil does everyone use?

3. The vacume hose that connects to the factory BOV has been tied in a knot? Any ideas? The previous owner said it was to do with more noise but the BOV id still all connected as plum-back.

4. Is it normal for the rear wiper to come on when its raining and you put the car in reverse? It had me stuffed the first time it did it.

1- ngk genuine equivalent if car is stock

2- 15w40 mineral oil

3- the previous owner is an idiot, bov will be leaking under boost unless its been blocked off internally, put the hose back on.

4- yes, normal

When you say Flash tuned , do you mean a custom tune? Or Generic tune? I presume Generic as you don't have a dyno sheet if you figure it has 300kws

Ok so you recommend the cooler heat range for the flash tune? And what gap is best to set them to?

It had the exhaust bung removed and flash tuned on the dyno.

They come pre gapped at 0.8

I recently acquired a TTG SY2 ex Victoria Police. Does anyone know what mods are done to police vehicles? The reason I ask is I drove another Ghia Turbo and a F6X and my car feels like the F6X tune more than the standard turbo ghia. Also other guys I know with turbo Territories say they average around 15 to 16 litres/100. Mine returns 12.9 to 13.4 according to the trip computer. I also have a high capacity yellow top battery and an extra set of fuses that I have no idea about. 1 x 40,1 x 80, and 1 x 30 amp. I assume they were for police radio, lights etc. Also when I got the car the interior lights and flashers when you unlock the car were disabled. Any ideas? I have asked the local Ford service manager but he doesn't know as Territories weren't used by Tasmania police or so he says.
