Guest PaulM Guests Posted 10/01/04 12:58 AM Posted 10/01/04 12:58 AM As already satated, you can run a single turbo on a vee configured engine, but it is not really viable. Thus straight engines are generally turbo charged and vee s a re supercharged.Expensive Daewoo would be placing a lot of confidence in their service departments to keep a single turbo vee engine performing without major tuning probs arising. My bet, it will not happen. Better supercharger maybe, but not a single turbo.

They features a HKS kitted Z33 Fairlady (350z) VQ35DE with a single HKS 3037 Turbocharger. 0.8bar of boost. HKS claimed power is 340kw and claimed 400m 12.2 seconds and 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds. The picture of the engine bay in the magazine looks very tidy... Edited 10/01/04 11:40 PM by eatV8

All that kind of jazz.Would only be a low boost setup but probably let them wind up about 5-6psi without a worry....A.

From what I'm lead to beleive this is the way they will go - a conservative low blow arrangement that will primarily be used in the calais and statesman - along the lines of Saab/ Volvo setups.

If this is true then I would assume Expensive Daewoo would use the 3.8 in the dunnydore and export the others.
