Hi Guys,

I have just ordered some new shocks to go with the SSL king springs I have in the shed and came across this listing on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon-BA-BF-FG-SUPER-PRO-Rear-Spring-Insulators?item=300839664171&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4934754758383233127#ht_638wt_1163

Can anyone tell me what the hell a spring insulator is and if they are a good way to minimise suspension noise. I've tried googling it but can't find anywhere that actually says what they do.

These insulators provide a cushion between the spring and the control arm in the rear. Your car has these from the factory however they are made of rubber. Sometimes these can perish and the above product is a replacement.

They also come in thicker versions in order to raise the height...

It bolts on to the turbo encabulator. it is employed in conjunction with the drawn reciprocation dingle arm, to reduce sinusoidal depleneration
