how is it possible we have not managed to track this down yet?

my current solution involves turning the stereo up.

maybe this is what ford did when they where doing the quality testing.

Check the rear shock mount. (Passenger)

Mine was loose and would make the noise your all describing. Fixed under warranty last month.

All the guys I work with have FG utes, and all have had an issue with the passenger side suspension. We do carry 500kgs of tools and stuff around all day, every day though...

Yup ive got a similar issue .. along with a poorly aligned tub various other rattles and knocks ive come to the conclusion that its all apart of owning a ford and the best option as stated before is turn stereo up lol

I had same problem with mine, rattled a lot and bugged me, sounded like it came from the tub, then I figured it was the loose mudguards rattling on the panels, took them off and the rattle was gone.

Honestly think mudguards are the worst idea for FGs

I have some strange banging noise coming from the back of my ute too. Been on the hoist a few times and I can't find it.

I think it's suspension related but all looks tight.

It's bloody frustrating.

Yay for ford quality.

I'll swing a spanner over some bolts in the back tomorrow and see what I find, and also remove the rear mud gaurds and see what that changes, if anything
